Abstract:
Ternary IrO2-Ta2O5-SnO2/Ti anodes with different molar percentage of SnO2 were prepared by thermal decomposion method. The crystal structure and the surface morphology were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Accelerated life test was performed to examine their anticorrosion properties. It is suggested that the solid solution in crystal structure and the compact surface in the appearance can help to improve the anticorrosion property of the coatings. The high content of SnO2 causes SnO2 precipitation in the coating, which deceases greatly the anticorrosion property.
