Abstract:
Two palladium 0 complexes with the ligand p-ClC6H4-HIEAI [p-ClC6H4-HIEAI = isonitrosoethylacetoacetate-N-(p-chlorobenzyl)imine], PdCl(p-ClC6H4-IEAI) (p-ClC6H4NH2) (1) and Pd(p-ClC6H4-IEAI)(2) (2), were prepared and characterized by IR and electronic spectroscopy. The crystal structure of I has been determined. The geometry around the palladium atom in 1 is a distorted square plane, the Schiff base ligand p-ClC6H4-IEAI(-) being coordinated to Pd atom through its oximo-nitrogen atoms and imino-nitrogen atoms.
