Abstract:
The lead iodide adduct [(Pb2I5)(L-H+) . 2DMF](n) (L=piperazine) has been prepared by self-assembly and structurally characterized. It presents one dimensional structure and crystallizes in Triclinic, P1 ($$$) over bar space group with the crystal cell parameter: a=0.922 06(18) nm, b=1.237 5(3) um, c=1.297 2(3) nm, alpha=99.05(3)degrees, beta=102.98(3)degrees, gamma= 105.30(3)degrees, and V=1.353 8(6) nm(3), Z=2, D-c=3.078 Mg.m(-3), mu(M-O Kalpha)=18.127mm(-1), F(000)=1 085, chemical formula C16H43N8O4Pb4I10 and M-r=2509.39, the final R=0.053 3 and wR=0.1464 for 3 889 observed reflections with 1>2sigma(I).
