Abstract:

In order to expand the application range of recycled concrete and fully realize its economic and low-carbon benefits, the application of composite recycled concrete and its derivative structures were analyzed and sorted, and the characteristics of recycled aggregate and recycled concrete were summarized. The problems of composite recycled concrete were analyzed and the future research was prospected. The results show that recycled concrete has the characteristics of low strength and small elastic modulus compared with ordinary concrete. It is often difficult to meet the mechanical properties and functional requirements of various parts of the structure by relying on recycled concrete itself. Through the forms of composite recycled concrete, recycled concrete is combined with other concrete in the form of components and structures, or the recycled aggregate is combined with other aggregates. Concrete that meets the performance requirements can be placed on specific parts, which is not only environmentally friendly but also can give full play to the respective advantages. The interfacial shear strength between different concretes has an important influence on the performance of composite recycled concrete structures. The shear strength is affected by many factors such as interfacial roughness, binder and concrete strength. Increasing the interfacial roughness can effectively improve the integrity and safety of composite recycled concrete and its derivative structures. The combinations of composite recycled concrete with BIM, 3D printing, prefabricated buildings and smart materials can achieve green construction while ensuring structural performance. © 2023, Editorial Department of Journal of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
