Abstract:

Deficiencies that the stability of high or long span of fastener-style steel pipe formwork support is always considered by calculating single standing pole's stability and taking some construction measures were investigated. Sampling inspections of steel fastener tightening torque were made in four construction sites. The results showed that more than eighty percents of samples can not meet the needs of the specified in standard and the average value samples is less than 20N·m while the specified value in standard is the range from 40N·m to 65N.m. How to simulate the performance of fastener correctly is very important to the whole analysis of fastener-style steel pipe formwork support. Coupled joint slip tests were conducted and tests factors such as tightening torque and new and old fastener were considered. Based on test results, effects of each factors were analyzed and some advice were put forward.
