Design of series fault arc waveform generating device

Abstract:

Aiming at the problems of tedious testing content and low detection efficiency of arc fault detection device (AFDD), a series fault arc waveform generating device is designed in this paper. Based on the typical waveform database established by the test platform, a signal isolation module with linear analog optical coupler as the core and a power amplifier module with high-power switch tube as the energy-consuming component are designed. The fault arc waveform in the database is restored by the upper computer platform to verify the action characteristics of AFDD. To simulate signal isolation circuit and power amplifier circuit, the co-simulation environment was built by LabVIEW and Multisim. Through the test verification, the device realizes the generation of series fault arc waveform. © 2019 IEEE.
