Abstract:
This paper studied two types of refiner disc materials abrasion with soft particles in the pin-disc equipment. The results showed that soft particles abrasion is different from hard particles. Firstly soft phase produces plastic deformation between the soft phase and the hard one. Then the dislocation is generated and accumulated and finally developed into cavitations before they become the crack, which results in material peeling off lastly. The wearing resistance of austenite is better than martensite because it has good plastic deformation.
