Abstract:
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) can be incorporated into polymer matrices to form CNTs/polymer composites exhibiting outstanding mechanical, electrical and nonlinear optical properties. The crystallization and morphology of the polymers can be strongly affected by small additions of CNTs. A large number of research results have demonstrated that these composite materials have found many potential applications in the fields of e.g. photovoltaic cells, organic light-emitting device, optical limiting, all-optical switches, protective coatings, and artificial muscles as well. This review introduced the preparation of CNTs/polymer composites, and their potential applications in many high-technology fields.
