Abstract:

A new inducing crack method for measurement of cracking behavior of concrete is developed, aiming at solving the problem in the current test method of concrete cracking behaviors. The trustiness of the method is verified by mathematical analysis and experiment. The method overcomes the shortage of conventional test method that the place where crack appears is stochastic and the width of crack is smaller and the crack appears late. And because of these shortage the observation of crack is difficult, the experiment takes longer time and the error of experiment is big. The method developed can avoid the error caused by concrete heterogeneity.
