Solution of double beam model for deformation of reinforced roadbed with shallow soil hole
Translated Abstract
The mechanical mechanism of the reinforced roadbed with shallow soil hole is very complicated. In order to study the deformation and stress of the roadbed, the pavement structure and the geo-cell were simplified into finite-length beams considering the bending rigidity, and the embankment fill and roadbed soil were simulated with Kerr model and Pasternak model respectively.A dual-beam model is constructed to obtain the vertical deformation analytical solutions of the double beam. The numerical simulation results of the reinforced roadbed with shallow soil hole and the laboratory test results of reinforced roadbed with no shallow soil hole are conducted, and the validity of the analytical results of the double-beam model is verified.Based on the analytical results, the effects of the depth to width ratio, the bending stiffness of the geo-cell and the elastic modulus of the roadbed on the vertical deformation, bending moment and shear forces of the double beams are analyzed. The research results show that the depth to width ratio and the elastic modulus of the roadbed have significant effects on the force and deformation of the soil hole area of reinforced roadbed with shallow soil hole, and the influence ability of the bending stiffness of the geo-cell is related to the elastic modulus of the roadbed, and the width determines the shear distribution characteristics of the pavement structure and the geo-cell..
