Abstract:

Monoclinic BiVO4 material was successfully synthesized through a hydrothermal method, and silver (Ag) nanoparticles were deposited onto the surface of BiVO4 using the photo deposition technique. The gas-sensing outcomes demonstrate that the BiVO4 material loaded with 2 wt% Ag has a good gas-sensing response to isopropanol, which is about three times that of pure BiVO4. In addition, it exhibits a fast response within 10 s and well-stability. The improved gas sensing properties primarily come from the catalytic and spillover effect mechanism of Ag. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.
