Abstract:

High-nuclear rare-earth incorporated polyoxometalatesPOMshave been a research hotspot in the fields of inorganic synthetic chemistry and material chemistry. Due to the unique electronic arrangement and the structural characteristics of the rare earth ions and the excellent properties of POMsthese materials have promising application in catalysismagnetismelectrochemistrysensor probes and medicine etc. In this reviewthe research advance of high-nuclear rare earth incorporated POMs in the past three decades including their synthetic strategiesstructural diversitystructure modulationand related properties is summarized. In additionthe current challenges in this area and the prospects of their application are also discussed. © 2023 Chinese Society of Rare Earths. All rights reserved.
