Abstract:
High-nuclear rare-earth incorporated polyoxometalates(POMs)have been a research hotspot in the fields of inorganic synthetic chemistry and material chemistry. Due to the unique electronic arrangement and the structural characteristics of the rare earth ions and the excellent properties of POMs,these materials have promising application in catalysis, magnetism, electrochemistry, sensor probes and medicine etc. In this review, the research advance of high-nuclear rare earth incorporated POMs in the past three decades including their synthetic strategies, structural diversity, structure modulation, and related properties is summarized. In addition, the current challenges in this area and the prospects of their application are also discussed. © 2023 Chinese Society of Rare Earths. All rights reserved.
