Abstract:

This article studies output tracking control for switched systems with an adaptive stay interval based event-triggering scheme. By considering limited communication and computation resources, an event-triggering scheme based on stay interval is adopted. To further improve the adjustment capability of network communication, an adaptive stay interval which can be changed depend on system performance is presented. A class of tracking controllers with error integral terms are applied to make switched systems have more accurate tracking performance. Then, closed-loop switched systems that composed by system state and tracking error are modeled, and a set of sufficient conditions for ensuring systems achieve the desired output tracking performance is given. By using linear matrix inequalities, the controller gains and event-triggering parameters are obtained. In particular, since variable stay interval, triggering instants, and switching instants are mutually inclusive, various cases are fully analyzed to guarantee the integrity of system performance discussion. Finally, simulation examples are shown to demonstrate the feasibility. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.
