Abstract:
In order to overcome the disadvantage of low power density of bearingless flux switching permanent magnet motor, a new double-stator bearingless flux switching permanent magnet motor was designed. Firstly, the topological structure of the motor is given, and according to the given rated speed and rated power, the relationship between the motor power and the structure size is utilized to build a preliminary design scheme of the motor. Then, the rotor structure is optimized by using finite element analysis to improve the output torque and suspension performance of the motor. Finally, the electromagnetic performance of the optimized motor is analyzed, including torque, suspension force, coupling and loss. The results show that the designed motor has excellent decoupling performance and low loss under the premise of satisfying suspension and torque output. © 2022 IEEE.
