Capacity Configuration and Control Strategy of EV Charging Station with Integrated Wind Power and Energy Storage Based on SSA

Abstract:

As the number of people using electric vehicles increases and the types of electric vehicles (EV) become more complex, the load of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) is full of uncertainty, which may pose challenges to the stability of the grid. This paper proposes a sparrow search algorithm (SSA)-based EVCS with integrated wind power and energy storage capacity configuration model and corresponding operation strategy, which can find the optimal capacity allocation more efficiently, reduce the peak load of EVCS, avoid some fluctuations, and obtain certain benefits (or reduce certain losses). Simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed theory. At the same time, the use of second-hand batteries improves the economy of the system and solves the recycling problem of used electric vehicle power batteries. © 2021 IEEE
