Abstract:
In order to clarify the time-varying characteristics of the mechanical model parameters of plate rubber bearings, a series of compression shear tests were carried out on used highway bridge rubber bearings with the service time of 3, 7, 10 and 25 years. The influence of the bearing service time on mechanical model parameters such as shear stiffness and friction coefficient was analyzed. The test results show that the shearing stiffness degrades to different degrees with the increase of use time. The shearing stiffness has a nonlinear relationship with the use time. At the same time, there is no obvious relationship between the critical slip displacement and the use time. Moreover, the friction coefficient increases with the increasing of service time, and there is a nonlinear relationship between them. Based on the above results, a mechanical analysis model of plate rubber bearings considering the time-varying characteristics of mechanical parameters was proposed. © 2021, Editorial Office of Journal of Vibration and Shock.
