Abstract：
在分析了传统SOAP—RPC式Web服务的局限性之后,简要介绍了REST,REST架构风格的Web服务及其优势,以及这种服务在GIS领域的应用,然后提出了基于REST架构风格的地理信息Web服务的整体框架.最后做了实例开发,以Visual Studio.NET,Sharp Map,Open Layers,SQL Server等软件作为开发环境。实现了REST风格的地理信息要素(fea.ture)务和简易的客户端程序。
