Abstract：
在分析了传统SOAP-RPC式Web服务的局限性之后,简要介绍了REST,REST架构风格的Web服务及其优势,以及这种服务在GIS领域的应用,然后提出了基于REST架构风格的地理信息Web服务的整体框架,最后做了实例开发,以Visual Studio.NET,SharpMap,OpenLayers,SQL Server等软件作为开发环境,实现了REST风格的地理信息要素(fea-ture)服务和简易的客户端程序.
