Abstract：
新时代语境中的对外翻译不是学习环境中的语言行为,而是一种发生在现实语境中的专业行为,文化外译尤其如此。它是一种旨在运用语言象征,对现实译语受众产生有效影响,达到预期宣传效果的修辞行为。文章从对受众新的认识出发,以2011年输出版获奖图书之一的《中国文化读本》及其英文版Insights into Chinese Culture为样本,在当代西方修辞理论的框架内,解读分析译者在翻译处理时体现的受众意识,旨在为文化外译提供启示和借鉴。
