The research of the technology of microalgae harvesting is significant to the development and use of microalgae,and flocculation is one of the various technologies of harvesting. Under the optimum flocculation condition of alum,chitosan and cationic starch flocculants,flocculatingScenedesmusObliquuswhich are in a stable phase. Respectively,the study compare the optimum flocculation dosage,the minimum flocculation time,the influence of pH,the concentration factor of microalgae flocculating,the influence of the algae organic matter(AOM). The results show that the required dosage of chitosan is least (40 mg/L),the required dosage of CSF is 60 mg/L,the required dosage of alum is 200 mg/L. The shortest flocculation time of chitosan 15 min,and CSF 20 min. The solution pH adaptability of CSF is strongest,the flocculation characteristics of CSF is most stable. The inhibition of AOM to chitosan is most significant. Taking flocculation efficiency,economic cost and environmental friendliness into account,CFS has major advantages.
