The monitoring data during excavation of a deep foundation pit in Fuzhou, including displacement, settlement, inner brace force, underground water level, were analyzed, then some valuable conclusions were gained and some suggestions were drawn.It was shown that the deep horizontal displacement of the soil layer increases with the increasing of the excavation depth, and the displacement varied with the inner brace density.The change of the deep horizontal displacement of layer soils is similar to the horizontal displacement or the settlement on the top surface.It looks like a groove for the distributions of the surface settlements in the north of the foundation pit, but triangular in the south of the foundation pit.The surface settlement around foundation pit affected by the variation of groundwater level, but it has certain hysteresis.Rainfall have a great influence on the deformation of foundation pit, and the inner brace force.The inner brace force is also affected by the temperature and other external conditions.
