Abstract:

A novel organic-inorganic hybrid coordination polymer {[C 12H28N2] [(Pb3I8) (DMF)2]•2DMF}n was synthesized by self-assembling method and characterized by IR, UV/Vis and thermal analysis. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis and its quantum chemical calculation was performed by Gaussian03 program. The title compound consists of cations ([C12H28N2]2+) and anion chains ([(Pb3I8)(DMF)22-] n) that are combined by static attractive forces in the crystal.
