Abstract:
The seismic analysis of a new arch structure subjected to three-directional ground motions, which is the reinforced-concrete arch bridge with corrugated steel webs, is carried out by using the time-history analysis method. Comparing with the reinforced-concrete arch bridge with concrete webs, the new arch structure has a better dynamic and seismic performance. Then, the effect of vertical ground motions on the arch bridge with corrugated steel webs is discussed by a comparison of the seismic responses from the three-directional ground motions and the two-directional (transversal and longitudinal direction) ground motions.
