Abstract:
A novel 30% RuO2-70%TiO2 coating anode was prepared on Ti substrates carburized at 700-1000 °C by a thermal decomposition method. The effects of the carburizing temperature on the structure of the substrate and anode were investigated by XRD, SEM. The electrochemical activity and stability of the anode were detected by the cyclic voltammetry and accelerated-life tests. The results show that with the increasing of carburizing temperatures, the structure of the Ti substrate changes and further the morphology of the Ru-Ti oxide coating varies greatly. The electrochemical activity and stability of the anode are then affected significantly by the carburizing temperatures.
