Fujian　Province　sits　nearby　Pacific　ring　of　earthquake,　the　moderately　strong　earthquake　might　occur　in　this　area.　Under　the　guidance　of　a　balanced　approach　to　consider　seismic　frequencies　and　economic　developments　about　each　area　of　Fujian,　eight　typical　counties　are　selected　for　aseismic　capacity　investigation　of　rural　residential　houses.　Statistics　of　the　sample　investigation　are　given,　and　the　main　structure　forms,　structural　aseismic　capacity　and　weak　links　are　analyzed　and　summarized.　Some　methods　for　improving　the　safety　of　rural　residential　houses　are　presented　in　the　level　of　technology　and　management.
