Abstract:
RuO230%-70% Ti anode coatings were prepared by thermal decomposition method onto pure titanium TAl substrates which had been oxidized thermally at 400-800 °C for 1 h. The effects of the thermal oxidization method on the titanium anode were investigate by XRD, SEM and electrochemical testing methods. The electrocatalytic activity and electrochemical stability of coating anodes were also detected by cyclic voltammetry test, anodic polarization curve test and accelerating-life test. The results show that thermal oxidization temperature has a greater effect on the phase structure and morphologies of the substrates. The phase structure, morphologies, electrochemical activity and electrochemical stability of the coatings also changes. The properties of Ru-Ti oxide coated anode are all very well under 600 °C. The substrate pretreated by thermal oxidization at 500 °C and then coated to make the anode is the best choice, especially the electrocatalysis and electrochemical stability are considered.
