Abstract:
The existing studies made great efforts in economic evaluation and its value assessment on wind power integration at a macro level, which is beneficial to the long-term development of wind power but not constructive to the real-time operation and accommodation of wind power. This paper analyzes a comprehensive value of wind power, including fuel-cost saving, emission reduction, network value and reserve cost. According to the concept of locational marginal prices, this paper proposes a improved model of calculating LMPs. where the Lagrangian function and KKT are utilized to formulate the locational marginal value of wind power at a micro level. Case studies about the impact of the cost of conventional generators, locations and line transmission margin on the locational marginal value of wind power are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2019 IEEE.
