Abstract:
The hardness and wear resistance of the electrodeposited amorphous Fe-Ni-P alloy coating at various heat treatment temperatures are studied. The microstructure and friction surface of the coating are examined, and the strengthening mechanism and wear mechanism are described. The hardness and wear resistance increase with the increase of heat treatment temperature and reach the maximum values at 400°C and then decrease. When the coating is heated over 400°C, the hardness and wear resistance would increase with the increase of its phosphorus content.
