Abstract:
Grid computing is a coordinating process for resource sharing and problem solving in dynamic, multi-institutional virtual organizations. In reality, these virtual organizations are always corresponding to some practical organizations. While on Internet, there still much more personal computers are not belonging to any of these organizations. Only by interconnecting all these clusters of computers in a Grid structure, thus it will facilitate massive scale resource sharing. One traditional way is to interconnect these personal computers to those VOs corresponding to the practical organizations. This presents a Virtual Organization self-organized by Personal Computers, and these Personal Computers are interconnected to the Grid Structure by this Virtual Organization (VO) to achieve the maximum scale resource sharing.
