Abstract:
With the rapid transformation and upgrading of the global manufacturing industry, the industrial Internet which will support the future development of industrial digital intelligence requires the deep integration of important enabling technologies such as 5G and MEC. According to the characteristics of industrial environment, this paper designs a set of industrial production environment to simulate the process of data transmission on the MEC edge cloud industrial platform, and to measure the overall transmission delay of industrial data in control. Aiming at the problems of different data acquisition communication cycles, the proposed data delay measurement method can solve the shortcomings of the current oscilloscope direct measurement method. The experimental results show that the proposed method can measure the industrial data transmission delay more accurately, with an accuracy of milliseconds. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
