Abstract:
CaSnO3 doped Eu3+ has prepared by high-temperature solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, photo-luminescence spectra were employed to characterize its property. The influence of concentration of Eu3+, different flux and charge compensation ions on the luminescence performance were studied. The excitation and emission spectra show that red phosphor CaSnO3:Eu3+ can be effectively excited by near-ultraviolet light at 395nm and the emitted radiation was dominated by a red emission peak at 614nm due to the non-centrosymmetric nature of the Eu3+ site. The Commission International de L'Eclairage(CIE) chromatic coordinates and color purity were calculated. CaSnO3:Eu3+ phosphor will be a better candidate for white light LED.
