A novel stator flux linkage estimator based on sliding mode theory for direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous motor

Abstract:

A novel stator flux linkage estimator with wider adjustable speed range and higher robustness is investigated in this paper based on sliding mode control theory. The stator current and stator flux linkage are used as state variables and the stator flux linkage estimate is adjusted with the error of current estimate. The experimental results show that the presented flux linkage estimator is insensitive to the DC offset of the current sampling channels and parameters of motor, and the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) direct torque control (DTC) system has wider adjustable speed range. © 2010 Chin.
