Abstract:
Catalytic performance and their stability of three modified PAN fiber-Fe complexes were investigated and compared, and effect of irradiation, Fe content and the solution pH on their catalytic activity was also examined. The results of three modified PAN fiber-Fe complexes indicated that catalytic performance for dye degradation, and hydroxylamine and hydrazine mixing modified PAN fiber-Fe complex have the highest catalytic activity. Irradiation and increasing Fe content improves significantly their catalytic performance. High pH level reduces the catalytic activity of three modified PAN fiber-Fe complexes, but about 60% dye are decomposed within 90 min at pH=8.0 when hydroxylamine and hydrazine mixing modified PAN fiber-Fe complex are used. Moreover, three modified PAN fiber-Fe complexes are reused for dye degradation, and their catalytic performance gradually decreases with recycle number increasing.
