Abstract:

A novel CuO quantum dot (QD) sensitized In2O3 heterojunction was synthesized by a hydrothermal method and a post-calcination process. The as-prepared CuO-QD-In2O3 maintained its photocatalytic activity even under visible light irradiation at a long wavelength beyond 650 nm, which has been observed for the first time. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
