Abstract:
The polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)/chitosan(CS) composite nanofiber was fabricated by electrospinning, and the drug release characteristic of PVA/CS composite nanofiber wrapped with amoxicillin was observed. The influences of material formulation, electrospinning voltage, collection distance and drug content on morphology of PVA/CS composite nanofibers were studied by SEM. The drug release rate of drug carrier PVA/CS composite nanofiber was analyzed through UV-visible spectrophotometer. The results show that, with the increasing of electrospinning voltage and collection distance, the decreasing of drug content, the diameter of PVA/CS composite nanofiber decreases and its distribution uniformity increases. Moreover, the drug release rate of drug carrier PVA/CS composite nanofiber decreases with the increasing of drug content and release time. ©, 2015, Chengdu University of Science and Technology.
