Abstract:
Adding nano-silica particles which were surface modified with silane coupling agent KH-570 into ilignin-phenol-starch resin, KH570-g-SiO2/lignin-phenol-starch composite resin (LPSR) composite materials were prepared. The silicon dioxide in KH570-g-SiO2/LPSR can be detected by FT-IR. The result shows that KH570-g-SiO2/LPSR have excellent performances when the content of nano-silica is 6%. The softening point is 100.9, and the gel time is 78 s. Compared with LPSR resin, the tensile strength is increased by 13.0% in cold state (room temperature) and 3.7% in hot state (260), the bending strength is increased by 5.5% in cold state and 8.1% in hot state. The improvement of heat resistance and thermal stability of composite materials which is caused by nano-silica can be demonstrated by TGA. © 2016, Chengdu University of Science and Technology.
