Abstract:
The evolution of radial texture and microstructure of Cu-Nb microcomposite wires was investigated using scanning electron microscopy with electron back-scattering diffraction. Cu matrix shows a major fiber texture, and the intensity of which increases from the surface to the center; Nb phase, however, shows a major fiber texture without significant change in the intensity along the radial direction. The microhardness is determined by both the interface area density and Cu texture. The texture hardening is the dominant influence on the change of radial microhardness. © All right reserved.
