Abstract:

The intelligent control scheme based on the cascade boost-chopper was proposed for low voltage supply systems. The scheme is a kind of indirect energy control modes, which can neatly perform the voltage transformation and current transformation. With this control scheme, the close-loop control of the contactor is more flexible and reliable. Two working modes of the control module were elaborated firstly; Small-signal analysis and corresponding simulations were further performed for the control module to guide the feedback loop design of the boost circuit. The relationship between adjustment of duty cycle and audio noise of solenoid actuators was studied on the basis of experiments. Furthermore the method to suppress electromagnetic audio noise was given with the design of digital current loop when the contactor is holding. The method is effective for intelligent control of solenoid actuators in contactors under different exciting voltages. The concept and method of control scheme were verified through experimental results. © 2016 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
