Abstract:
Nanocrystalcellulose/silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) reinforcing hydroxypropyl cellulose nanocomposite membranes were prepared using a casting/evaporation technique. SEM, TEM, XRD, EDS, and DMA were used to characterize chemical structure and properties of the resultant nanocomposite membranes. Results show the mechanical properties of HPC/NCC/AgNPs membrane were improved due to the strong interactions between AgNPs/HPC and NCC molecular chain. The results of TEM and SEM showed that the AgNPs dispersed well in the matrix and the AgNPs had a regular crystal structure.
