Abstract :

A new microporous organic polymer (PCB-NH2) has been synthesized based on amine functionalized carbazole derivative by oxidative coupling polymerization with anhydrous FeCl3. Polymer PCB-NH2 exhibits microporous nature with a BET surface area of 542.4 m(2) g(-1), and shows moderately high CO2 and C2H2 adsorption capacities, 51.6 cm(3) g(-1) (10.3 wt%), 58.4 cm(3) g(-1) (7.5 wt%) at 278 K, 1 atm, respectively. Remarkably, at 278 K, the predicted LAST selectivities of PCB-NH2 are 16.7-5.8 for a CO2/CH4 (5:95 v/v) gas mixture and 34.3-21.0 for a C2H2/CH4 (50:50 v/v) gas mixture at pressures varying from 0 to 1 atm, respectively. More interesting, PCB-NH2 displays higher CO2/CH4 selectivity than its matrix polymer PCB. The isosteric heats of CO2 adsorption (QA) for PCB-NH2 and PCB further indicate that the amine group may facilitate the interaction between the polarizable CO2 molecules and the polymer by local dipole - quadrupole interactions, subsequently favors selective gas separation for these gas molecules. The high selectivity of CO2/CH4 and C2H2/CH4 makes PCB-NH2 possible candidate for future natural gas upgrading and acetylene purification.

Abstract :

对热循环条件下Sn3.0Ag0.5Cu/Cu焊接接头界面金属间化合物(IMC)进行观察及力学性能实验,研究界面金属间化合物生长及接头抗拉强度的演变规律。改变保温时间、最低极限温度等热循环参量来做对比试验,同时在热循环上限温度下做等温时效试验与热循环试验对比。结果表明:随着循环周次的增加,界面金属间化合物的等效厚度不断增加,且下限温度越低界面金属间化合物生长越快,接头抗拉强度先稍有增加后不断下降;当在上限温度保温相同时间时,等温时效条件下界面金属间化合物的生长速率比热循环条件下快,未经历低温过程,界面原子扩散一直保持相对较快的速度。

Abstract :

In current study, microstructure and texture evolutions, the mechanism of variant selection for {10-12} twins, the nucleation and propagation of twins during uniaxial multi-pass compression in an extruded AZ31 Mg alloy were investigated by in-situ EBSD technology. The specimen was compressed along ND to different strains of 1.9%, 3.4% and 6% at a strain rate of 1 mm/min at room temperature. The results show that the yield stress maintains increased during the uniaxial multi-pass compression. Due to the growth and propagation of the pre-generated twins, the ultimate stress of last compression is approximately equal to the yield stress of next recompression along ND. It is found that the mechanism of variant selection for {10-12} tension twinning is dominated by both high Schmid factor (SF) and high strain compatibility factor m' in extruded Mg alloys. Meanwhile, the strain compatibility plays an important role in the propagation of twins in common grain boundaries. Two types of grains were discussed in the paper: grains containing one twin variant (one-twin grains) and grains containing two twin variants (two-twin grains). In the one-twin grains, the twinning growth speed shows scattered distribution after three-pass compression. Twin growth and propagation are affected by the maximum length of activated twins. In addition, the misorientation of twinning boundaries can affect the expanding of pre-generated twins. While in the two-twin grains, the variants with para-position (PP) relationships (7.4 degrees < 1-210 >) can promote the twin growth and coalescence. More nucleation sites and close mis-orientations between two variants lead to the high speed of twinning growth and propagation in those two-twin grains. This is the reason why two-twin grains can achieve higher volume fraction of twins compared with that in one-twin grains.

Abstract :

Microstructure of welding joints in TC4 alloy manufactured by laser processing was investigated by optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy. The microhardness from weld center of the joint to base metal was measured. The results show that, in the base metal, the microstructure is consisted of α phase and dispersed granular β. Microstructure of the welding joint is composed of coarse equiaxed zone, columnar grain zone, fine equiaxed zone and reheat microstructure. The structure in the coarse equiaxed zone is consisted of platelet α+β, widmanstatten structure α and basket weave α+β, which microhardness is lower than that of the columnar grain zone and fine equiaxed zone, but higher than the base metal. The structure in the columnar grain zone and fine equiaxed zone is mainly needle-shaped martensite. The microhardness of the columnar grain is the highest in the joint. The microhardness of HAZ is close to that of base metal.

Abstract :

采用光学显微镜和场发射扫描电镜观察了TC4钛合金激光焊接接头的显微组织,测量了接头焊缝中心到母材的显微硬度.结果表明,母材由α相和其相界上断续分布的粒状β相组成.焊接接头组织由粗大等轴晶区、柱状晶区、细等轴晶区和热影响区过热组织组成.粗大等轴晶区组织形态有层片状α+β、魏氏体α和网篮状α+β3种,其显微硬度略低于柱状晶区和细等轴晶区,但比母材高;柱状晶区和细等轴晶区组织为针状马氏体,柱状晶区显微硬度相对较高.热影响区显微硬度与母材相差不大.

Abstract :

The Sn3.0Ag0.5Cu/Cu lead-free solder and Cu joints were isothermally aged at 125, 150 and 175°C for 36, 72, 216, 360 and 720 h. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the solder joints were studied. The results showed, after soldering the interfacial intermetallic compounds (IMC) of solder joints were small serrate. The size of interfacial IMC was found to increase with the aging temperature and aging time. The IMC growth rate increased with aging temperature but decreased with aging time. With the increase of aging time, the amount of IMC serration decreased, and its diameter, height and width became bigger, higher and wider respectively. Through analysis of the interfacial IMC, a scientific method to characterify IMC size was found. When the IMC equivalent thickness was calculated, the quantitative relationship between IMC equivalent thickness and aging time/temperature was established. The IMC activation energy is 88 kJ/mol. In addition, the relationship between isothermal aging and tensile strength was developed. The tensile strength firstly increased and then decreased with the aging time, which could be attributed to the welding residual stress relaxation and the IMC evolution.

Sn3.0Ag0.5Cu/Cu钎焊接头在125,150,175℃三种温度下分别进行了36,72,216,360,720 h等温时效,对钎焊接头微观组织及力学性能在时效过程中的演变规律进行了研究.结果表明,界面金属间化合物(IMC)在横截面上呈细小锯齿状,随着时效温度升高及时间延长,界面IMC的尺寸不断增加,增长速度随时效温度升高而增加,随时效时间延长而减小.界面IMC齿数不断减少、齿径变大、齿高变长、齿距变宽.分析得出一种科学的表征界面IMC尺寸的方法.计算时效后界面IMC层等效厚度,发现界面IMC层的等效厚度与时效时间及温度之间具有一定的数学关系,同时可计算出界面IMC的生长激活能为88 kJ/mol.此外研究了时效对钎焊接头抗拉强度的影响,随时效时间增加接头抗拉强度先增大后减小,这主要与接头残余应力释放及界面IMC的演变有关.

Abstract :

The fatigue property and fracture mechanism of TC4 titanium alloy joint during laser welding was investigated. It was found that the fatigue life of laser weld was longer than that of the base metal under low stress levels. However, the fatigue life of laser weld was shorter than that of the base metal under high stress levels. Fatigue cracks originated in the surface for base metal specimen. In the fatigue crack expansion zone, numerous curving secondary cracks and fatigue striations were found perpendicular to the direction of crack propagation. Fissures at the root of some fatigue striations were also observed. The fatigue cracks of the weld originated in the pores in the weld surface, and numerous secondary cracks were straight and parallel near the fatigue resource. In the fatigue crack propagation area of the weld, small dimples were found in fine-grain zone and became shallow near the columnar crystal. Mass of micro-shear sliding bands and shallow dimples were found in the weld center. The fracture mechanism of the weld was formation of shear sliding bands and rupture.

Abstract :

Theoretical analysis and experimental research on the low cycle fatigue damage of TC4 titanium alloy sheet and its laser welding joint were conducted. The tensile tests of specimens after different fatigue cycles show that elongation is sensitive to fatigue damage, which is used as an effective physical parameter to characterize the low cycle fatigue damage behavior of TC4 titanium alloy sheet and its laser welding joint. The initial value of the damage variable for base metal is 0.037, which increases slowly with fatigue cycles and increases rapidly when the cycles up to 90% of the fatigue life. Continuum damage mechanics theory analysis results can be a good explanation for the low cycle fatigue damage law of TC4 base metal sheet, the theoretical model fits well with the experiment results. The microstructure of laser welding joint of TC4 alloy is not uniform. There are welding defects, which make the low cycle fatigue damage curve of the welding joint deviates from the theoretical model. The pores in the welding joint make the initial damage variable value change to 0.4. As the coarse grains in the welding joint center, the damage variable starts to increase rapidly, when the fatigue cycles reaches 50% of the fatigue life.
