Abstract :
Common mode chokes (CMCs) are key components in electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters, and accurate modeling of these components is critical for filter design and EMI noise simulation. This article proposes a behavioral model and parameter extraction technique for characterizing three-phase four-wire common mode chokes (4W-CMCs). The proposed model considers the inductance nonlinearity caused by the nonlinear permeability of manganese-zinc ferrite and nanocrystalline magnetic materials, as well as the asymmetry and local symmetry in the winding distribution of 4W-CMCs. The parameters for the common mode and differential mode (DM) models are extracted using a parameter extraction program and a simple equation-based method, respectively. For the DM model parameter extraction, this article proposes a measurement method that utilizes the local symmetry of 4W-CMCs. The equivalent circuit of this measurement method decouples the interwinding capacitance (C-W) from the DM inductance parallel capacitance (C-D) by transforming two-port network parameters, greatly simplifying the parameter extraction process. The accuracy of the model and the effectiveness of the method are validated through experiments using several 4W-CMCs with manganese-zinc ferrite and nanocrystalline magnetic cores.

Abstract :
The effective capacitance of the common mode port serves as a critical metric for assessing the common mode noise suppression capability of transformers in power converters. Conventionally, the evaluation of transformers in single-ended topologies, such as flyback converters, using a network analyzer necessitates a reference static point and a dynamic point at the transformer port. However, a full-bridge transformer without a center tap lacks a reference static point in both the primary and secondary stages. Consequently, this paper proposes an innovative measurement technique to evaluate the common mode noise suppression capability of full-bridge transformers. This method accounts for the intrinsic parameters of the transformer and refines the high-frequency equivalent circuit model for accurate measurement. Ultimately, the validity of the proposed model is confirmed through experiments conducted on a CLLC converter prototype, offering the industry a straightforward and efficient approach to assessing and testing the common mode noise suppression performance of transformers without a center tap.

Abstract :
为了研究单管正激变换器传导共模EMI特性,降低单管正激变换器的共模噪声,对单管正激变换器的传导共模噪声传输机理进行分析.基于分析建立共模噪声路径模型,提出 1 种计算方法明确外接电容大小来改善共模噪声;同时针对传统计算二次侧感应电荷量模型存在的缺陷,提出改进计算模型,通过仿真验证表明理想条件下改进模型准确性较高;然后使用平衡绕组的方法降低流经变压器的共模噪声,并通过 1 台单管正激电源样机进行实验验证,结果表明了计算外接电容方法的有效性,及在绕组距离较近且绕组较密情况下,改进计算模型计算的电荷量准确性较高.

Abstract :
应用多相交错并联耦合电感技术,可以有效降低相电流纹波、提升动态响应速度.针对不同设计目标,首先分析直接耦合电感和间接耦合电感的稳态性能和动态性能的影响因素;然后根据耦合前后等效动态电感不变设计提升稳态性能的直接耦合电感和间接耦合电感,根据耦合前后等效稳态电感不变设计提升动态性能的直接耦合电感和间接耦合电感;最后通过实验验证了理论分析的正确性和有效性.实验表明,2种不同耦合方式的耦合电感分别对提高变换器的稳态性能和动态性能有明显的效果.

Abstract :
针对磁性材料直流磁化特性难以宽范围精确测量的问题,本文提出直流励磁法测量磁性材料的本征直流磁化曲线,详细分析其测量原理并搭建自动化测量平台.通过上下位机通信合理控制开关管的通断时间,利用高精度采样仪器采样感应电压和励磁电流后进行数据处理.基于测量平台分析其误差来源并加以解决,实现宽范围的磁性材料直流磁化曲线的测量.利用磁导率是真空磁导率的空心电感为被测件,验证直流励磁法的测量精度.最后,利用提出的直流励磁法测量铁氧体和金属磁粉心的直流磁化曲线,将其与大信号交流法测量结果进行比较分析.

在电磁干扰(EMI)滤波器的设计和功率变换器的EMI噪声预测中,共模扼流圈的精确建模至关重要.然而,在高频下受共模扼流圈寄生参数的影响,现有模型难以准确表征其滤波特性.该文分析现有模型的缺点在于无法完整反映共模扼流圈的内部电场特性,因此根据共模扼流圈差模分量在高频下的插入损耗谐振点特性提出一种新的高频模型,该模型通过综合考虑端部和绕组中间寄生电容的影响从而完整表征差模分量的电场特性,并解析新模型电路结构给出模型中寄生参数的提取流程.实验结果表明,新模型在 150 kHz~30 MHz下具有良好的拟合精度,证明了该模型的准确性.

Abstract :
High-power inductors are fundamental components in high-power DC-DC converters, with their performance being a crucial metric of converter efficiency. This paper presents an in-depth analysis of a novel calculation method for the air gap length in such inductors. Taking into account the effects of air gap diffusion and the winding magnetic field, an expression for the air gap diffusion radius is derived, focusing on a distributed air gap structure. Furthermore, models for calculating the air gap and winding reluctance are developed, grounded in electromagnetic field theory. An equivalent magnetic circuit model, formulated based on Kirchhoff's second law, facilitates the proposed method for air gap length calculation. This study also involves the development of 3D models for both discrete and decoupled integrated inductors. The comparison between simulation outcomes and calculated air gap lengths indicates a maximum error of less than 8%, with the minimum error being as low as - 0.79%. Compared with traditional methods, the calculation method proposed in this paper has significant advantages. Additionally, the discrepancy between calculated values and experimental measurements is found to be 1.11%. These results validate the accuracy and applicability of the theoretical analysis and calculation method, underscoring their significance in the design and optimization of high-power DC-DC converters.

Abstract :
This article investigates the loss measurement methods of magnetic components for power conversion applications. A comparison calorimetric method is proposed for magnetic component loss measurement, and the proposed method can eliminate measurement errors of the traditional calorimetric method. The measurement principle is introduced in detail and this method is realized, and possible sources of error in measurement are evaluated and addressed. Hysteresis control is utilized to achieve automated measurement. Resistor and air-core inductor are used to verify the accuracy of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method can be used to measure the loss of resistor and inductive element for high frequency up to 5 MHz, and the range of loss is 0.1-10 W.

共模电感由绕组和磁芯组成,锰锌铁氧体可以作为共模电感的磁芯,其高频参数的频变特性使共模电感的阻抗特性在150 kHz~30 MHz内呈非线性.针对传统共模电感集总电路模型与实测阻抗特性存在较大偏差,难以准确预测共模电感在高频段阻抗特性的问题,分析磁芯材料参数与绕组绕制方式对共模电感高频阻抗特性的影响;从共模电感分布电容特性的角度阐述磁性材料参数与绕组结构对分布电容大小的作用机理;提出考虑磁芯相关频变参数的共模电感宽频段阻抗仿真建模方法,结合阻抗测试验证所提方法的有效性.

为了搭建适合工程批量应用的高频变压器共模抑制特性评估平台,分析变压器的共模噪声传导机理,研究变压器通道上共模噪声的传导特性,评估变压器对共模噪声的抑制能力.首先,通过函数发生器产生高频跳变电位信号,将其施加于变压器原边绕组以模拟变压器的共模噪声传输特性;其次,采用示波器捕捉共模信号在采样电阻上产生的电压降的值,判断变压器对共模噪声的抑制效果,分析评估平台中采样电阻的阻值选取对评估结果的影响;最后,对比评估结果与传导电磁干扰频谱的测试结果,验证所提变压器共模抑制特性评估方法的有效性.
