Abstract :

The flexible and controlled synthesis of metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived hybrid nanostructures is of great significance in fine tuning of their enrichment performance in large-scale and in-depth phosphoproteome analysis. Herein, a magnetic guanidyl-functionalized MOF hybrid coating with multiaffinity sites, denoted as Fe3O4@G-ZIF-8, was fast fabricated via a one-pot epitaxial growth strategy for the first time and applied for selective and highly efficient enrichment of global phosphopeptides. The intrinsic unsaturated metal sites of ZIF-8 endow the surface-mounted MOF coatings with immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography interaction with multiphosphorylated peptides. The oriented anchoring of bifunctional guanidineacetic acid on the magnetic MOF nanospheres provides additional affinity sites (guanidyl groups) for specific recognition of phosphopeptides by "salt bridge " interaction, as well as active site carboxyl groups for the coordination with the metal ions. The as-prepared Fe3O4@G-ZIF-8 exhibits large surface area (382.5 m2 g-1), good superparamagnetic property (41.6 emu g-1) and stability, and size-exclusion effect (1.73 nm), which can serve as a specific adsorbent for global phosphopeptide analysis with satisfactory selectivity, great detection sensitivity (1 fmol), and rapid magnetic separation. Moreover, the successful application of Fe3O4@G-ZIF-8 for selective capture of both multi and mono-phosphopeptides from human saliva and serum demonstrated the great potential of magnetic surface-mounted MOF coatings in effective identification of low-abundance phosphopeptides by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry from complicated biological matrices.

Abstract :

A direct immersion solid-phase microextraction (DI-SPME) approach for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) based on hybrid fiber coating of ionic liquid and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) is presented. To fabricate the task-specific coating for the enrichment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), 1-butyl-3-vinylimidazolium bist(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]imide (IL) and POSS were rapidly photoinitiated copolymerized within 5 min on a stainless steel fiber. The high efficient extraction of target analytes can be attributed to a combined result of multiple interactions including the strong C-F center dot center dot center dot H-C pseudohydrogen bonding, pi-pi stacking, hydrophobic force, and molecular sieve effect. A wide linear range (0.04-400 ng L-1) with low detection limits in the range of 0.004 and 0.5 ng L-1 were obtained for PAHs by GC-MS. The applicability of this coupling method was successfully demonstrated by the analysis of trace PAHs in real river water and soil samples, with satisfied recoveries (84.2-108.6%) and relative standard deviations (<8.1%). Compared to the other commercial fiber-based SPME methods, the IL/POSS hybrid coating-based SPME is much cheaper, thermally stable and capable of eliminating possible deleterious effects as well. <正>离子液体(ILs)是一种由有机阳离子和无机或有机阴离子构成的熔融盐,具有蒸汽压低、溶解性好、热稳定性等特性,对于有机及无机溶质具有良好的溶解性能以及可设计性强,使其成为聚合反应中的一类新型溶剂。研究表明,自由基聚合反应以离子液体为反应介质时,相比于采用普通溶剂在反应速率及产率有显著提高[1]。近年来离子液体反应介质也被开始应用于整体柱的微波与热聚反应制备中[2-3],用以加快自由基聚合反应速率,缩短整体柱的制备时间,为新型功能整体柱的制备提供了便捷、绿色的途径。

Abstract :

A hydrophilic ionic liquids based polymer monolith microextraction (PMME) column (poly(ionic liquid-co-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-ethylene dimethacrylate); poly(IL-co-HEMA-co-EDMA)) was prepared for the first time in a capillary and utilized in PMME for the enrichment of glycopeptide antibiotics (GAs), followed by the online coupling analysis of capillary liquid chromatography with amperometric detection (cLC-AD). The prepared monolith exhibited large through pores and good storage stability, as well as a selective extraction machanism for GAs that was attributed to the hydrogen bonding, hydrophilic, electrostatic and pi-pi interactions between GAs and the imidazolium cations or hydroxyl groups on the surface of absorbent. Several experimental parameters, such as sample flow rate, composition of eluent and solvent desorption conditions, were examined to improve the extraction efficiency of PMME. Under the optimal conditions, the proposed PMME-cLC-AD method provides detection limits (S/N = 3) of 1.0-8.0 mu g L-1 for three GAs, which are 1000-fold lower than those obtained by cLC-AD, with a wide linear range of 10.0-12000.0 mu g L-1. It was successfully applied for the analysis of GAs residues in feed samples with good recoveries (80.3-119.1%) and satisfied intra-day/inter-day precision (< 10%). Compared with LC-3Q-MS method, the proposed online approach has the merits of simple, low cost, smaller matrix interference and environmental friendly, which is demonstrated to be a feasible tool for residue analysis of peptide antibiotics in food safety application. Abstract :

Volatile polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in water and soil are associated with status in the human body. Development of simple, efficient detection method is challenging due to the coating could be attacked by the abundance of water in the direct-immersion solid-phase microextraction. The stability of coating is essential to the analysis results. In this paper, a stable Ni-Zn MOF/g-C3N4 (MG NFs) nanoflowers with cavity traps structure was firstly reported and acted as solid-phase microextraction (SPME) adsorbent for PAHs. Markedly enhanced moisture and acid stability of the MG NFs was obtained through the doping the hydrophobic graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) and metal ions into metal organic frameworks (MOFs). The aperture environment and ambient environment of MG NFs were changed by the doping of the Ni and the g-C3N4, respectively. The moisture and acid stability of MG NFs were prominently increased under the dual protection. Compared to commonly used commercial coatings, the MG NFs own large surface area, unique nanoflowers structure and numerous open metal sites on the nanosheets, which demonstrated significant extraction superiority for PAHs. The MG NFs coated fiber was used for the SPME preconcentration of PAHs and couped with GC-MS for detecting PAHs. It presented low detection limits (0.1-3.0 ng L-1), wide linearity (0.3-5000.0 ng L-1) and good linearity (the correlation coefficient >0.9951). The inter-day and intra-day relative standard deviation (RSD) (n = 3) for three replicate extractions using one fiber was 3.8%-9.1%, and 3.5%-9.2%, respectively. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility (n = 3) was 4.2-11.8%. The coupling method was successfully applied in the analysis of real water and soil samples with satisfactory recoveries of 82.9-109.2%, 84.2-106.4%, and the corresponding RSDs were 2.4-11.3%, 3.6-10.8%, respectively. Abstract :

For solid phase microextraction (SPME), effective immobilization of sorbent on a stainless steel fiber surface is very essential. But, it still remains challenging because the chemical inertness of stainless steel fiber. In this work, chemical bonding method was introduced to fabricate a series of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)-coated stainless steel fibers, and some representative MOFs (ZIF-90 (Zn), MOF-199 (Cu), MIL-101 (Cr), MOF-5 (Zn))-coated stainless steel fibers were successfully synthesized. Such strategy can noticeably increase the mechanical and chemical stability, and prolong the service lifetime due to it combine the advantages of stainless steel fiber and chemical bonding method. The stability of MOF-ZIF-90 (Zn)-coated stainless steel fibers which were preparated by different methods (chemical bonding method, adhesive method and deposition method) were studied, and results showed the chemical bonding method proved the best stability. Based on the ZIF-90 (Zn)-coated fiber, the SPME-GC-MS method was developed for detecting traces of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and satisfactory results were obtained. The linear ranges were 0.01-600 ng L-1 and the coefficient of determination was higher than 0.993. The limits of detection for the PCBs were 0.0013-0.053 ng L-1. The recoveries for the spiked PCBs in the Minjiang water, soil and vegetable oil samples were in the range of 85.9-105.8%. The extraction capacity of the ZIF-90 (Zn)-coated stainless steel fiber prepared by chemical bonding method did not show measurable change under different temperatures or organic solvents for up to 5 days. Abstract :

采用共价键合法成功的制备了以MOF-5/g-C3N4材料为涂层的萃取纤维,它解决了使用环氧树脂粘合材料受热时易膨胀的问题,使纤维涂层更稳定(热分解温度超过450℃)。以该涂层为基础建立固相微萃取方法,结合气相色谱-质谱联用技术(GC-MS)同时对7种芳香胺进行检测。在最佳条件下,目标物的检测线性范围为0.5-1000.0ng/mL,检测限为0.004-0.3ng/mL,说明该方法具有很宽的线性范围和低的检测限。将该方法用于西河水中芳香胺的检测,加标回收率在84.8%-111.3%之间,日内和日间的RSD都低于8.6%,证明了该方法的实际可行性。结果表明,MOF-5/g-C3N4纤维由于其高的比表面体积、良好的热稳定性、容易准备等优点,是一种理想的材料萃取涂层,能实现环境样品中农药残留的高效富集。
