Abstract :
为进一步提高电力电子型限流器的经济性与限流效果,提出一种计及多元因素的故障电流受控型限流器(FCCL)的优化配置方法.对FCCL的故障过程展开分析,推导出计及FCCL的线路故障电流与换流站极间电压表达式.将老化因数纳入改进型限流器寿命预测模型,相较传统模型寿命预测值减少30%以上,更加精确合理.提出自变量简化策略,解决了求解过程中不同类型限流元件成本与冲击电流限制效果不平衡的问题,简化了求解过程.以成本、冲击电流限制效果、限流器预测寿命为目标函数,通过改进型多目标灰狼优化算法求得Pareto最优解集,求解效率提升26%以上.在9节点直流系统中进行优化配置算例分析,结果表明所提方法具备较高的求解效率与准确率.

Abstract :
A grid-forming converter (GFM) controls power output by adjusting the phase angle and amplitude of its output voltage, providing voltage and frequency support to the power system and effectively enhancing system stability. However, it has limitations in current control, influencing the current only indirectly through voltage regulation, which results in weaker control over current waveform quality. In the context of a large number of renewable energy generation units being connected to the grid, harmonics in the grid voltage can lead to excessively high harmonic content in the grid current, exceeding standard limits and causing oscillations. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a control strategy of harmonic voltage feedforward compensation to suppress grid current distortion. The proposed control strategy extracts harmonic voltages from the output port of the GFM converter through a harmonic extraction module, processes them via a feedforward factor, and introduces the resulting signals into the converter's control loop as feedforward compensation terms. This allows the converter's output voltage to compensate for the harmonic components in the grid, achieving the improvement of grid current and reducing the total harmonic distortion (THD) value. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by simulation results.

新能源高比例接入直流配电网,其低惯量、弱阻尼特性将导致故障电流峰值大、上升速率快,给现有直流断路器的开断容量、速度带来挑战.因此,提出一种计及超级电容快速钳位饱和铁芯电压的直流故障限流器.该限流器利用超级电容器对串联于主电路的饱和铁芯快速供能,在检测到故障后通过单移相控制使超级电容快速放电,在饱和铁芯上产生特定斜率电流以钳位饱和铁芯电压,进而有效抑制故障电流幅值.此外,根据电流微分判据识别瞬时性/永久性故障:瞬时性故障时,执行无断路器动作行为的系统自恢复;永久性故障时,进一步抬升饱和铁芯钳位电压使故障线路电流过零,直流断路器快速动作、隔离故障线路.最后,搭建多端直流配电网仿真系统验证所提限流器的有效性.结果表明所提限流器能够有效抑制故障电流,消除故障区域对非故障区域的负面影响.

Abstract :
Droop control has the advantages of realizing active power sharing and reliable operation of each distributed generators (DG) in AC microgrids. However, the nonactive power generated by reactive load, nonlinear load and single-phase load cannot be shared among DGs under droop control, which may lead to overloading of certain inverters or even cause system paralysis. This paper proposes a dual-frequency-droop based nonactive power sharing control strategy for AC microgrids, which achieves active power sharing through active power-fundamental frequency droop, and achieves nonactive power sharing through nonactive power-injected harmonic frequency droop. A specific harmonic signal is deliberately injected by each DG to adaptively regulate the virtual impedance to realize nonactive power sharing. Simulation and experimental results have been provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. © 2025 IEEE.

Abstract :
The three-phase four-leg (3 P 4 L) parallel-inverter system has been increasingly applied in the field of new energy power generation due to its capability of feeding single-phase loads. However, zero-sequence circulating current (ZSCC) can jeopardize the stable operation of the parallel-inverter system. This paper firstly analyzes the generation mechanism of zerosequence circulating current in the 3P4L parallel-inverter system and a novel 3D-SVPWM modulation strategy has been proposed to suppress the circulating current. By changing the difference in zero-sequence duty ratios between the two inverters, the zerosequence voltage difference is altered, thereby achieving the effect of suppressing circulating current. Finally, simulation results have been provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. © 2025 IEEE.

Abstract :
With the high proportion of renewable energy integrated into DC distribution networks, their low inertia and weak damping characteristics result in high peak fault currents and rapid rise rates, posing challenges to the breaking capacity and speed of existing DC circuit breakers. Therefore, this paper presents a DC fault current limiter which takes into account ultracapacitor fast-clamped saturated core voltage. The current limiter uses a supercapacitor to rapidly energize the saturated core in series with the main circuit. Upon fault detection, a single phase shift control is used to enable the supercapacitor to discharge quickly, generating a specific slope current in the saturated core to clamp its voltage, thereby effectively suppressing the fault current amplitude. In addition, a current differential criterion is used to distinguish transient and permanent faults. For transient faults, the system executes self-recovery without circuit breaker operation. For permanent faults, the clamping voltage of the saturated core is further increased to force the fault line current to zero, enabling the rapid operation of the DC circuit breaker to isolate the faulty section. Finally, a multi-terminal DC distribution network simulation system is established to verify the effectiveness of the proposed current limiter. The results show that the proposed current limiter can effectively suppress the fault current and eliminate the negative impact of faults on non-fault regions. © 2025 Power System Protection and Control Press. To further enhanoe the economio efficiency and current-limiting Performance of power-electronic-based current limiters, an optimized configuration method for fault current-controlled limiter(FCCL) considering multiple factors is proposed. The fault process of FCCL is analyzed,and expressions for the fault current in the line and the voltage between Converter Station poles, considering the FCCL,are derived. By incorpo-rating the aging factor into improved current limiter lifespan prediction model, the predicted lifespan is re-duced by over 30% compared to traditional models, making the estimation more accurate and reasonable. The simplification strategy for independent variables is introduced, addressing the imbalance between cost of different types of current-limiting elements and impulse current limitation Performance, which simplifies the solving process. Taking the cost, impulse current limitation Performance and current limiter predicted lifespan as the objective functions,the Pareto-optimal Solution set is obtained by the improved multi-objective grey wolf optimization algorithm, and the solving efficiency is improved by more than 26%. An optimization case study is conducted in a 9-node DC System, the results show that the proposed method provides high solving efficiency and accuracy. © 2025 Electric Power Automation Equipment Press. Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel fault current limiter(NFCL) topology tailored for DC distribution systems, aiming to improve fault response speed, system protection coordination, and recovery capability. The NFCL integrates a fast-acting solid-state switching path and an energy-absorbing branch, forming a coordinated fault control mechanism that enables both transient ride-through and permanent fault isolation. A hybrid protection strategy, combining voltage-differential detection and directional overcurrent identification, ensures selective response and enhances protection flexibility. Compared with conventional limiter topologies, the proposed NFCL achieves over 85 % reduction in peak fault current within 0.6 ms, significantly alleviating stress on DC circuit breakers. Experimental tests based on a 10 kV prototype confirm the NFCL's fast dynamic performance and practical applicability. These results demonstrate that the proposed NFCL offers a technically innovative and cost-effective approach to enhancing the reliability and resilience of future DC distribution networks.

Abstract :
The issue of DC fault ride-through can now be resolved in a novel way thanks to flexible current limiting technology, but its practical worth cannot be realized due to flaws in the technology. This study examines the placement of a controlled current source on the secondary side of a current limiting inductor and the enhancement of clamping voltage stability on the primary side of a current limiting inductor from the standpoint of controlling flexible current limiting technology. It offers a theoretical foundation for the specified secondaryside controlled source through an analysis of the iron core's inductance properties. Two-degree-of-freedom algorithm and model predictive control are combined in a control strategy that is appropriate for flexible current limiting devices to address the issue of inadequate response time and control accuracy under standard control. In MATLAB/Simulink simulation software, the presented theory's soundness is lastly confirmed.

In order to realize the low-carbon emission of power system and boost the economic growth, a bi-level optimal dispatching strategy based on the demand response considering nodal carbon intensity is proposed, which uses the model of carbon intensity guided multivariate flexible load as basic. First, by using the principle of proportional sharing to track the carbon emission flow, a carbon emission flow model is built, and the carbon intensity variation law of each node is perceived from a spatiotemporal dimension. Then, the carbon flow analysis is incorporated into the load-side demand response mechanism, the nodal carbon intensity is used to establish the carbon emission model of demand response for load aggregators, and the dispatching differences of load aggregators under different carbon intensities are clarified to build a bi-level optimal dispatching model of power system based on demand response considering nodal carbon intensity. The upper-level of the model is the optimal economic dispatching of power grid operators, and the lower-level of the model is the demand response economic dispatching of load aggregators. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a modified IEEE 30-bus system. © 2024 Automation of Electric Power Systems Press. All rights reserved.
