Abstract :
Sulphate-reducing microorganisms, or SRMs, are crucial to organic decomposition, the sulphur cycle, and the formation of pyrite. Despite their low energy-yielding metabolism and intense competition with other microorganisms, their ability to thrive in natural habitats often lacking sufficient substrates remains an enigma. This study delves into how Desulfovibrio desulfuricans G20, a representative SRM, utilizes photoelectrons from extracellular sphalerite (ZnS), a semiconducting mineral that often coexists with SRMs, for its metabolism and energy production. Batch experiments with sphalerite reveal that the initial rate and extent of sulphate reduction by G20 increased by 3.6 and 3.2 times respectively under light conditions compared to darkness, when lactate was not added. Analyses of microbial photoelectrochemical, transcriptomic, and metabolomic data suggest that in the absence of lactate, G20 extracts photoelectrons from extracellular sphalerite through cytochromes, nanowires, and electron shuttles. Genes encoding movement and biofilm formation are upregulated, suggesting that G20 might sense redox potential gradients and migrate towards sphalerite to acquire photoelectrons. This process enhances the intracellular electron transfer activity, sulphur metabolism, and ATP production of G20, which becomes dominant under conditions of carbon starvation and extends cell viability in such environments. This mechanism could be a vital strategy for SRMs to survive in energy-limited environments and contribute to sulphur cycling. This study uncovers a unique mechanism where a non-phototrophic sulphate-reducing microorganism adapts to environments with limited or depleted substrates. It does this by harnessing photoelectrons from semiconducting minerals that coexist extracellularly, which are then used for energy production and metabolism. image

Abstract :
The disposal of discarded vulcanized natural rubber waste has presented substantial environmental challenges. This study aimed to investigate the degradation of vulcanized natural rubber through the utilization of enriched bacterial consortia with NRE3 derived from the soil. The highest weight loss of 38.84 % was achieved with NRE3 after four weeks of incubation. Additionally, the crosslinking density of rubber decreased by 32.3 % and the tensile strength decreased from 69.1 to 9.5 MPa. SEM analysis revealed the presence of significant cracks and holes on the surface of vulcanized natural rubber. Moreover, FT-IR and XPS analyses demonstrated a decrease in the sulfur (S) and carbon (C) content of the rubber, while the oxygen (O) content increased. The concentration of SO42- in the medium increased from 478.37 to 840.26 mg/L, indicating the collapse of the rubber structure. The NMR and GC-MS findings indicated the presence of degradation products, specifically polyisoprene oligomers and terpenoids. Through high-throughput sequencing analyses, Acinetobacter, Chryseobacterium, Stenotrophomonas and other bacterial were discovered in NRE3. Based on the chemical structure characterizations and molecular analyses, a degradation pathway was proposed. These findings pave a way for utilizing rubberdegrading microorganisms present in soil and contribute to the establishment of a biodegradation method for disposing of vulcanized rubber waste.

为了充分利用未来降雨信息指导水库调度,构建了以最大削峰为目标的水库实时调度模型,提出了一种考虑未来降雨信息的水库优化调度方法,基于水箱模型利用24 h降雨量预报信息预测入库流量并建立每个时段的泄洪指标求解模型.以山美水库防洪调度为例进行研究,与降雨启发信息优化调度方法进行比较,结果表明,此优化调度方法在目标函数上表现更好,与利用洪水预报的优化调度方法效果相近,能较好地解决来水不确定性的问题.

Abstract :
The ferrite process has been developed to purify wastewater containing heavy metal ions and recycle valuable metals by forming chromium ferrite. However, organic matter has an important influence on the crystallization behavior and stability of chromite synthesized from chromium-containing wastewater. We focused on the in-fluence and effect mechanism of two typical organic acid salts (citrate (CA) and tartrate (TA)) on the process of chromium mineralization. It was found that the presence of organic matter leads to the increase of the residual content of Cr in CA system (0.50 mmol/L) and TA system (0.61 mmol/L) in the solution, and the removal of chromium was mainly due to the surface adsorption of Fe(III) hydrolysate. The decreased crystallinity of mineralized products is ascribed to the completion of organic compounds with Fe(II) and Fe(III), which hinders the formation of ferrite precursors. There was bidentate and monodentate chelation between -COO-and metal ions in the CA system and TA system respectively, which resulted in a stronger affinity between CA and iron. This study provides the underlying mechanism for Cr(III) solid oxidation by the ferrite method in an organic matter environment and is of great significance to prevent and control chromium pollution in the environment.

本发明公开了一种基于金属有机框架(MOF)合成氧化锆基固溶体的方法。首先以2‑氨基对苯二甲酸为配体,以Zr(NO3)2为金属源,利用水热法合成MOF(UIO‑66‑NH2),将MOF用乙醇分散,滴加水杨醛乙醇溶液,得到席夫碱修饰的MOF,然后将硝酸盐乙醇溶液滴加到修饰后的MOF乙醇溶液中,利用席夫碱的络合作用将金属离子(Zn2+,Cu2+或Co2+)引入MOF中,最后经搅拌、离心洗涤、烘干和煅烧后制得氧化锆基固溶体。席夫碱修饰后的UIO‑66‑NH2更容易与金属离子络合,能得到多种类型的纯相氧化锆基固溶体,且比表面积大,热稳定性好,应用前景广阔。

目的针对胶质芽孢杆菌(Bacillus mucilaginosus)直投式菌剂菌体存活率低及易失活等问题,对喷雾干燥复合抗热保护剂进行优化研究,以期为其菌剂生产提供理论与技术支持。方法以直投式菌剂菌体存活率为指标,利用喷雾干燥生产工艺,考察海藻糖、脱脂奶粉、麦饭石改性材料(H-MS)对菌体的抗热保护效果;并利用响应面法对复合抗热保护剂配方进行优化。结果不添加抗热保护剂的菌剂菌体存活率仅有(34.15±1.07)%;添加单一保护剂时,以海藻糖保护效果最佳,麦饭石改性材料(H-MS)及脱脂奶粉次之,菌体存活率分别可达(52.17±1.08)%,(51.64±0.77)%,(43.67±1.62)%,海藻糖和H-MS对菌体存活率具有极显著影响(P<0.01),脱脂奶粉对菌体存活率具有显著影响(P<0.05)。利用响应面优化得到最佳复合抗热保护剂配方为海藻糖4.33%、脱脂奶粉2.90%和麦饭石改性材料(H-MS)7.57%。在此最佳添加配比下,菌体存活率为(73.32±0.76)%,活菌数最高可达1.12×109 CFU·g−1。结论添加3种抗热保护剂均能提高直投式菌剂菌体存活率,且三者之间存在交互作用,复合使用的抗热效果优于单独使用。扫描电镜观察显示海藻糖和脱脂奶粉将菌体包埋成微胶囊固定在麦饭石改性材料(H-MS)的孔道中,能有效保护菌体细胞,提高菌剂菌体存活率。

Cerium is a critical element to modern technologies. Nowadays, its increased applications have led to elevated levels in the environment. Cerium recovery by microorganisms has gained a great deal of attention. Here, our research showed that Bacillus licheniformis could be used to recover Ce3+ from aqueous solution. The adsorption capacity of cerium on this bacterial strain achieved 38.93 mg/g (dry weight) biomass. Adsorption kinetics followed a pseudo-second-order rate model, and adsorption isotherm was fitted well with the Freundlich model. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) observations coupled with X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis revealed a spatial association of Ce with C, N, O, S, and P. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis further suggested that the phosphate and carboxyl groups on the cell surface might be responsible for the adsorption of cerium. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) suggested that cerium initially occurred on the bacterial cell surface as Ce(OH)(3), which was mainly converted to monazite (CePO4) and a small amount of CeO2 overtime. Hydrothermal treatment was used to accelerate the mineralization process of cerium by B. licheniformis. The hydrothermal treatment is conducted for comparative analysis of mineralization process in extreme geological condition.

[目的]从罗源湾红树林浅滩土壤中筛选出产脲酶真菌,研究其对镧La(Ⅲ)的最大耐受浓度,利用其吸附和产脲酶作用诱导矿化回收稀土离子La(Ⅲ),以期为稀土离子La(Ⅲ)的资源回收提供菌种资源和应用技术指导.[方法]从罗源湾红树林浅滩土壤中分离、筛选、纯化出可产脲酶及耐La(Ⅲ)真菌,通过ITS rDNA基因序列分析对其进行鉴定;同时,利用XRD、SEM-Mapping及FT-IR分析探讨菌株回收La(Ⅲ)的机理.[结果]经分离、纯化得到一株可产脲酶及耐受高浓度La(Ⅲ)的真菌FZU-07,鉴定为尖孢镰刀菌(Fusarium oxysporum),其具有较强诱导矿化回收La(Ⅲ)的能力,对La(Ⅲ)的最大耐受浓度为400 mg/L.菌株FZU-07单独对La(Ⅲ)吸附回收效率为46.19%;在诱导矿化条件下回收效率可提高到99.16%.FT-IR和SEM-Mapping分析表明,尖孢镰刀菌吸附La(Ⅲ)与菌丝体表面的氨基、羟基、羰基和磷酸基团相关;XRD和SEM-Mapping结果表明诱导矿化是通过该菌的产脲酶特性,使尿素分解产生碳酸,并与钙离子结合生成球霰石晶型的碳酸钙,La(Ⅲ)被捕获在球霰石晶格中,形成La(Ⅲ)和碳酸钙的混合固相,以共沉淀的形式被回收.[结论]菌株FZU-07,是一株具有产脲酶特性的尖孢镰刀菌(Fusarium oxysporum),且具有较强的诱导矿化回收La(Ⅲ)能力.表明微生物诱导碳酸钙沉淀是一种可行且生态友好的回收稀土离子的方法.
