Abstract :
The extent of anthropomorphism in robot design has long been a topic of scholarly interest. However, the question of whether the elderly prefer robots that are »cute» or »human-like» remains unanswered. This study introduces the concept of cuteness, the degree of anthropomorphism, and other physical attributes as reference points. Using grey relational analysis, we evaluate the correlation between five appearance features of six companion robots and five affective evaluation indicators of the elderly. The study concludes that cuteness significantly correlates with perceptions of warmth and friendliness. The ranking of the correlation between the five affective evaluations and each appearance feature is as follows: brightness > glossiness > cuteness > anthropomorphism > saturation. This suggests that elderly individuals prefer companion robots that are cute rather than anthropomorphic. The findings of this study provide guidance for the design of companion robots for the elderly and offer new insights and methods for similar product design evaluations. © 2013 IEEE.

Abstract :
Obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) is a disease characterized by respiratory disorders, and its prevalence rate is on the rise worldwide. Home ventilator can replace or enhance the respiratory function of human body and alleviate the symptoms of OSAHS, and has become an important treatment, rehabilitation, and nursing equipment for patients. However, the existing products lack humanistic care in emotional level, which leads to negative emotions in the process of human-computer interaction. This study seeks to enhance the user experience of home ventilators by applying the principles of Kansei Engineering (KE). Through a principal component analysis of nine pairs of Kansei image adjectives associated with home ventilators, we concluded that users prefer home ventilators that are "friendly,""technological,""pleasant,""orderly,"and "easy to understand."These findings were utilized in the Kansei design of home ventilators. The effectiveness of these conclusions in improving the user experience of ventilators was subsequently validated using the PrEmo method. Copyright © 2024 by ASME.

Abstract :
Soft tissue and organ modeling is the most critical function of any virtual surgical system. This study proposes a softness-based adaptive mesh refinement algorithm to simultaneously ensure realistic and real-time soft tissue simulation. The algorithm was constructed to consider that in a virtual surgery scenario, the surgical sites involve large deformation and thus require high simulation precision, whereas the nonsurgical sites involve small deformations and thus require low simulation precision. This study used the stomach lining as an example, applying mesh refinement in the deformation sites of the stomach lining to enhance the accuracy of the simulations. In addition, low mesh models were adopted for nonsurgical sites to ensure computing efficiency.

本实用新型公开了一种撸串器,包括第一杯体,所述第一杯体内腔的底部放置有第二杯体,所述第二杯体的顶部贯穿至第一杯体的顶部,所述第二杯体的顶部设置有导流圈,所述第一杯体和第二杯体的底部分别开设有第一圆孔和第二圆孔,所述第一圆孔的内侧粘接有第一密封圈,所述第二圆孔的内侧粘接有第二密封圈。本实用新型通过第一杯体、第二杯体、第一圆孔、第一密封圈、第二密封圈、导流圈和第二圆孔的相互配合,解决了现有的撸串器不方便使用、制造成本高和使用效率低的问题,该撸串器结构简单,从而制造成本低,而且便于携带,在使用时只需将撸串从底部拉出即可防止油弄到衣服或者脸上,而且方便操作,提高了撸串的效率。

本实用新型公开了一种防丢卡手机壳,包括壳板,所述壳板正面的底部固定连接有转动连接轴,所述转动连接轴的顶部固定连接有外盖板,所述外盖板与壳板之间固定连接有卡袋,所述外盖板的顶部设置有锁紧结构,所述锁紧结构包括上链带和下链带,所述上链带位于壳板的正面,所述下链带位于外盖板的顶部。本实用新型通过设置转动连接轴、外盖板、卡袋、锁紧结构、上链带、下链带和拉链头的配合使用,解决了现有的手机壳只能对卡件放置而不便于取卡的问题,该防丢卡手机壳,具备防止卡件丢失且便于取卡的优点,在使用的过程中,能够有效增强了手机壳的功能性,方便使用者能够放置多张卡件,便于使用者的使用,值得推广使用。

针对Criminisi基于样本块的图像修复算法置信项错误导致的修复顺序错乱,以及无法为对称相似图像给予较好的修复问题,提出一种改进优先权和利用对称相似结构的图像修复方法.实验结果表明,该方法可以得到较好的修复效果.
