Abstract :

Temperature is an important factor affecting the performance of magnetorheological brake. In order to improve the heat dissipation performance of magnetorheological brake, annular cooling fins are designed based on TRIZ theory, and its temperature field simulation mathematical model is established. The effects of cooling fins on the magnetic field distribution and heat transfer of the brake are investigated by the coupled finite element method. An experimental platform was designed and constructed to verified the actual performance of the heat dissipation system is verified. The results show that after installing the cooling fins, the maximum temperature of the brake is reduced by 1.09 % after 30 min of static energization, and the maximum temperature is reduced by 4.40 % after 30 min of heat dissipation. The maximum temperature of the brake is significantly reduced after installing the cooling fins in the single and continuous braking conditions. Under the initial braking speeds of 20 km/h, 40 km/h, 60 km/h and 80 km/h, the maximum number of consecutive braking times of the brake is increased by 31.19 %, 14.81 %, 12.50 % and 16.67 %. After installing the cooling fins, the torque decay rate of the brake was reduced by 5.54 % after 5 min of continuous torque output.

Product Innovation Bionic Design Method Based on EQA and AD EI CSCD PKU

Abstract :

In order to apply bionics and innovation methods to product innovation design in distributed resource environment, a method of product bionic innovative design based on EQA (Extractive question answering) and AD (Axiomatic design) is proposed. Firstly, the biological text and engineering design information database by text mining are constructed to realize the processing and storage of biological and engineering data. Secondly, to match the appropriate biological parameters from the perspective of design function, an EQA-based question and answering system is constructed as well as a biological parameter acquisition method was proposed. Then, based on the product bionic innovative design process integrated with EQA and AD, the transformation from user requirements to design schemes is realized and the feasible product design schemes are obtained. Finally, the corresponding bionic design assisted software system is developed to assist the designer to carry out innovative product design, and the design of ultraviolet disinfection vehicle is taken as an example to further demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed product bionic innovative design method. © 2024 Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. Abstract :

针对分布式资源环境下仿生学与创新方法集成应用于产品创新设计问题,提出一种基于抽取式问答(Extractive question answering,EQA)和公理化设计(Axiomatic design,AD)的产品仿生创新方法。首先,构建基于知识挖掘的生物文本及工程设计信息数据库,实现生物及工程数据的处理与储存。其次,构建基于EQA的问答系统并提出一种生物参数获取方法,从设计功能的角度匹配合适的生物参数。然后,以融合EQA和AD的产品仿生创新设计流程为基础,实现从用户需求到设计方案的转换,获得可行的产品设计方案。最后,开发了相应的仿生创新设计辅助软件系统,辅助设计者进行产品创新设计,并以紫外线消毒车设计为例,验证了所提出的产品仿生创新设计方法的可行性与有效性。

Calibration tests for the contact parameters of flour particle using discrete element method EI CSCD PKU

Abstract :

Accurate engineering modeling of flour is often required for the calibration of its contact parameters in flour conveying systems. In this study, a typical calibration of contact model parameters was proposed to consider the effects of cohesion between flour particles and particle size, according to the static and dynamic angle of repose. Hertz-Mindlin with Johnson-Kendall-Roberts (JKR) contact model was also selected using the particle scaling theory. The orthogonal simulation tests were carried out to implement the sensitivity and variance analysis of the contact parameters using the discrete element method (DEM) model. The result showed that there were the most significant effects of JKR surface energy, the powder-powder coefficient of rolling friction, and the powder-steel coefficient of static friction on the static angle of repose. Since the contact parameters were calibrated only by static angle of repose, the cross-effects of multiple parameters were verified as well. Different combinations of contact parameters produced a similar effect of static angle of repose. Furthermore, five sets of contact parameters were selected to obtain a unique set of parameter values as the candidates. Their simulation from the static angle of repose was the closest related to the test. Then the dynamic stacking was further studied. The flour was filled in a cylindrical container with a transparent bottom and stainless-steel side. In the tests, the cylindrical container was set as 100 mm in diameter and 30 mm in height and then rotated around the axis at the given speed. The camera was used to record the dynamic angle of repose, which was defined as the maximum tilt angle between the slope and the horizontal plane before the powder collapsed. The contact parameters calibrated by the dynamic angle of repose were also verified under the condition of a single filling rate and a single rotational speed. Therefore, the dynamic angle of repose was further calibrated at the filling rates of 0.2 and 0.4, respectively, while the rotational speeds of 30, 40, 50, and 60 r/min. Optimal contact parameters were achieved for the flour with a powder-powder coefficient of restitution of 0.6, a powder-powder coefficient of static friction of 0.2, a powder-powder coefficient of rolling friction of 0.1, a powder-steel coefficient of restitution of 0.6, a powder-steel coefficient of static friction of 0.6, a powder-steel coefficient of rolling friction of 0.5 and a JKR surface energy of 0.12 J/m2. The dynamic angle of repose after DEM calibration was the closest to the test. The calibration with the dynamic angle of repose under various conditions effectively reduced the uncertainty of the calibration. After that, a rectangular container test was designed to verify the accuracy of the contact parameters. Among them, the flour was poured into a cube container with a side length of 100 mm, where the top surface of the assembly of flour was kept flat, and then the cabin lid of the container was lifted away, leading to the powder naturally flowing out of the container. The ratio of the flour mass remained to calculate the total mass in the container. There was a minimal relative error between the numerical simulation with the calibrated parameters and the measurement from the test. The DEM contact parameters of flour were improved in the reliability, simplicity, and feasibility of calibration. The finding can also provide a strong reference for the DEM parameters calibration of powdery materials in engineering applications. © 2024 Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering. Abstract :

Creative thinking is the key factor of the product innovation design, and Bionic interaction design is a completely new method to achieve the creative design. In order to increase the abrasion resistance and reduce the natural frequency of automobile disc brake, and then weaken the brake squeal, the brake is designed from bionic points. Firstly, the brake is modeled at four levels of the function, principle, behavior and structure to fully express the internal relationship of the product; similarly, the corresponding biological system is modeled with function, strategy, action and structure based on the HIM. Meanwhile, considering the synergistic effect of multiple organisms, a multi-level Cooperative Mapping Mechanism based on multi-biological principle is raised to design the brake scheme. Secondly, thermodynamic and modal analysis of the bionic brake scheme is done. Finally, the bionic structure is parameterized designed based on numerical simulation to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2020, Springer-Verlag France SAS, part of Springer Nature.

Abstract :

仿生创新设计是指通过提取自然界中的生物信息来进行产品的创新设计,具有广阔的应用前景.传统的仿生创新设计方法大多基于少量生物信息,难以对大量生物信息进行高效的资源检索,且会因受到设计人员思维及相关专业知识的局限而难以产生富有创新性的设计方案.为解决上述问题,需提出一种基于网络环境中大量生物文本的集成式创新设计方法,以辅助设计人员进行仿生创新设计.基于此,提出一种通过用户需求映射网络生物文本来获取多学科需求、多映射目标设计方案的创新设计方法.首先,基于神经网络模型提取网络生物文本中的知识并存入数据库;然后,根据提出的多学科需求映射方法得到产品设计的关键词,并用模糊映射方法将产品设计的关键词映射到网络生物文本中,由网络生物文本得到工程设计解;最后,根据上述方法编写程序及设计相应的用户界面,并以管式空气加热器的创新设计为例来验证所提出的方法的可行性.结果表明优化后管式空气加热器的加热效果明显提升,说明所提出的方法可以较好地解决传统仿生创新设计中生物文本信息少、设计人员受自身思维限制且缺乏跨学科专业知识以及生成的产品方案不理想等关键问题,可有效地辅助设计人员完成产品的仿生创新设计.
