Abstract :

The strong scattering and time variability of dynamic scattering media pose a major challenge to optical focusing and imaging applications. In this paper, a feedback wavefront shaping technology based on digital micromirror devices is proposed, which combines the hardware design and algorithm optimization. Through a new hardware- triggered image acquisition system and dynamic subgroup genetic algorithm, the image acquisition rate and focusing efficiency are significantly improved, and the light is quickly focused in dynamic turbid water. The imaging speed is about 34.89 times that of the traditional method based on a software-triggered image acquisition system and genetic algorithm. The experimental results of focusing through a milk solution show that this technique has a remarkable effect in improving the efficiency of dynamic focusing and the light intensity of focusing region, which provides an effective optimization strategy for optical imaging technology through a dynamic scattering medium in the future. Abstract :

Protein-polyphenol interactions are crucial in food chemistry, yet current detection methods have limitations. This study innovatively uses optical weak measurement. Key variables like central wavelength shifts were measured in systems with chlorogenic acid, tea polyphenols, and various proteins. A linear relationship between polyphenol concentration and wavelength shift was found, and a new calculation strategy for binding constants and sites was developed, showing consistent trends with fluorescence quenching. The method is label-free and applicable to non-immobilized biomolecules, offering cost-effective and accurate detection. However, it's sensitive to solution fluctuations and complex samples. Future research should optimize the device and detection techniques to improve stability and capture interaction dynamics. This study provides a valuable tool for food chemistry research.

Abstract :

Most of the state-of-the-art defogging models presented in the literature assume that the attenuation coefficient of all spectral channels is constant, which inevitably leads to spectral distortion and information bias. To address this issue, this paper proposes a defogging method that takes into account the difference between the extinction coefficients of multispectral channels of light traveling through fog. Then the spatially distributed transmission map of each spectral channel is reconstructed to restore the fog-degraded images. The experimental results of various realistic complex scenes show that the proposed method has more outstanding advantages in restoring lost detail, compensating for degraded spectral information, and recognizing more targets hidden in uniform ground fog than state-of-the-art technologies. In addition, this work provides a method to characterize the intrinsic property of fog expressed as multispectral relative extinction coefficients, which act as a fundament for further reconstruction of multispectral information. Optical Label-Free Aptasensor Based on Weak Value Amplification for Real-Time and Ultrasensitive Detection of IgE SCIE

Abstract :

Allergy is a prevalent disease, and the potential allergic population is expanding with industrialization and changes in people's living standards. Serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) level is one of the critical indicators for determining allergy. Here, we proposed a simple, real-time monitoring, low chip cost, label-free aptamer biosensing strategy based on weak value amplification (WVA) for the quantitative detection of IgE in serum samples, enabling early and accurate diagnosis of allergic or hypersensitive patients. The aptasensor combined an imaging weak measurement system with the high specificity of the aptamer for the marker IgE. By modifying the amino group at the 3-terminal end, the anti-IgE aptamers can attach to a dopamine-modified prism's surface and selectively recognize IgE in human serum. In the presence of IgE, a specific binding reaction occurred, resulting in a change in the refractive index of the reactive region's surface, manifested as a change in the light intensity of the camera acquired experimental images. As the concentration of IgE increased, the relative light intensity advanced sequentially. The WVA-aptasensing strategy achieved a wide detection range of 0.01 ng/mL to 2 mu g/mL in phosphate buffered saline buffer, with the resolution as low as 4.3 pg/mL. IgE testing experiments in human serum have proved the feasibility of our methods in detecting complex samples. In addition, the method specifically recognized IgE without interference from other proteins. We believe that our proposed sensing strategy opens up new possibilities for ultrahigh sensitivity screening of IgE and can be expanded to detecting other biomolecules.

TmFeO3 具有磁光效应、多铁性和自旋重取向等丰富的物理特性,在凝聚态物理和材料物理领域具有重要的研究价值.本文利用时域太赫兹低温磁光谱,研究 TmFeO3 单晶在 1.6 K温度下自旋共振频率随外加磁场的变化规律,并表征其内部复杂的相互作用.结果表明,随磁场增加TmFeO3 单晶的准铁磁共振向高频移动,而准反铁磁共振在临界磁场(2.2-3.6 T)转变为准铁磁共振,通过磁结构分析和理论拟合,证实单晶磁矩发生了磁场诱导的自旋重取向.本研究有助于深入理解稀土正铁氧体在外磁场、温度场综合作用下,内部磁结构的调控机制,开发相关的自旋电子学器件.

Abstract :

An ultra-sensitive phase plasmonic sensor combined with weak value amplification is proposed for the detection of IgG, as a model analyte. Phase detection is accomplished by self-interference between the p-polarization and the s-polarization of the light. With the principles of weak value amplification, a phase compensator is used to modulate the coupling strength and enhance the refractive index sensitivity of the system. On a simple Au-coated prism-coupled surface plasmon resonance (SPR) structure, the scheme, called WMSPR, achieves a refractive index sensitivity of 4.737 x 104 nm/RIU, which is about three times higher than that of the conventional phase-based approach. The proposed WMSPR biosensor gives great characteristics with a high resolution of 6.333 x 10-8 RIU and a low limit of detection (LOD) of 5.3 ng/mL. The results yield a great scope to promote the optimization of other SPR biosensors for high sensitivity.

Large Terahertz Birefringence in Nanocomposite Films Made From Magnetorheological Fluid SCIE

Abstract :

In this work, magnetic nanocomposite films were prepared using magnetorheological fluids and were characterized by time-domain terahertz spectroscopy. Applying magnetic field during the curing process of magnetorheological fluids makes Fe nanoparticles align into a chain-like structure. Permanent anisotropy is solidified in the films, resulting in a birefringence coefficient as high as 0.37 in a frequency range from 0.4 to 2.0 THz. The polarization state of terahertz wave can be converted by rotating the film at room temperature without external magnetic field. When the rotation angle is at 50 degrees- 60 degrees, the ellipticity is greater than 0.8 in the frequency range of 1.19-1.6 THz, indicating that the film can be used as a quarter waveplate.

Reverse Design of Terahertz Waveguide Structures Based on Anderson Localization SCIE

Abstract :

In this work, we present a reverse-design method for 1-D disordered waveguide structures which might be used for future terahertz on-chip integrated systems. This method is based on the Anderson localization effect to construct the initial structure of the waveguides. Due to the probability statistical distribution, the waveguides with randomly generated fluctuations have different localization abilities. We optimized the refractive index fluctuations and distributions of the waveguide structure through intelligent reverse-design algorithms and ultimately obtained the optimal structural parameters. Simulation results indicate that the optimized waveguide has a better localization ability, a lower insertion loss, and a good robustness against fabrication errors and defects compared to the initial waveguide.

基于快照式多光谱特征波长的小球藻叶黄素产量快速测定

叶黄素是天然的抗氧化剂,对人体健康有多种益处,异养小球藻具有叶黄素纯度和产量均较高的优势,而小球藻叶黄素产量主要取决于生物质产量和叶黄素含量两个因素.传统的光密度法测生物质产量和高效液相色谱法测叶黄素含量存在操作复杂、时效性低等不足.为了快速、无损测定小球藻生长过程中叶黄素含量变化,搭建可见-近红外双模式快照式多光谱成像检测系统,根据光谱响应区域,分别利用可见光相机获取叶黄素光谱信息,近红外相机获取生物质光谱信息,构建含有生物质量和叶黄素含量信息的可见-近红外双模式多光谱数据集.针对系统所使用的快照式多光谱相机光谱范围宽、波长数量少的特征波长选取问题,提出一种结合序列浮动前向选择的改进型连续投影算法(mSPA);将mSPA与常规的连续投影算法、遗传算法及随机蛙跳三种波长选择算法作对比分析后,构建了基于特征波长的多元线性回归和极限学习机模型;最后,利用生物质产量和叶黄素含量的最佳预测模型生成小球藻叶黄素产量的可视化分布图.结果表明,在利用近红外、可见光相机分别检测小球藻生物质、叶黄素量时,mSPA得到的特征波长数均较少,并具有最高的预测精度.生物质量与叶黄素含量的最佳模型均为mSPA筛选特征波长后建立的极限学习机模型,对应的预测集决定系数分别为0.947和0.907,预测集均方根误差分别为0.698 g·L-1和0.077 mg·g-1,剩余预测偏差分别为3.535和3.338,模型的预测能力较好.可视化分布实现了直观监测小球藻叶黄素产量的变化,有助于后续实际生产中在线检测叶黄素产量.mSPA在快照式多光谱检测小球藻生物质含量及叶黄素含量中,通过对排序波长逐个评估以选择出最佳特征波长组合,有效地避免了特征波长的错选、漏选,提高了模型的预测精度,为快照式多光谱成像技术应用提供新的波长选择思路.
