Development of red phosphor Li8CaLa2Ta2O13:Eu3+ for WLEDs and anti-counterfeiting applications Scopus

Abstract :

A set of novel red phosphors Li8CaLa2Ta2O13:xEu3+ (LCLTO:xEu3+) were successfully prepared using a solid-state reaction method. The properties of the prepared samples, including phase purity, elemental composition, and morphology, were systematically investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy analyses. The 610 nm maximum emission peak is attributed to the 5D0→7F2 transition of Eu3+ ion under 394 nm irradiation. Among all the LCLTO:xEu3+ phosphors, LCLTO:0.6Eu3+ showed the strongest emission intensity because of the concentration quenching effect of the electric dipole–dipole interaction among the Eu3+ ions, which was also demonstrated by the decay curves. Remarkably, the emission intensity of the optimal LCLTO:0.6Eu3+ phosphor, which exhibited a high internal quantum efficiency of 49.30% and excellent color purity of 96.79%, was approximately 2.29 times higher than that of commercial Y2O3:Eu3+ red phosphors. The thermal stability of the LCLTO:0.6Eu3+ sample with good color stability was meticulously investigated. The fabricated white-light-emitting diode (WLED) exhibited a superior color-rendering index of Ra = 82 and chromaticity coordinates of (0.3260, 0.3639), suggesting that LCLTO:0.6Eu3+ has potential applicability in developing efficient and high-quality WLEDs. Moreover, the prepared LCLTO:0.6Eu3+/PDMS composite film demonstrated exceptional flexural resistance and chemical stability, indicating considerable promise for practical anti-counterfeiting applications. © 2023

Abstract :

To achieve high concentration of Ce3+ ions in Gd3Fe5O12 (GIG) crystal, the structure of codoped Sc3+ and Ce3+ ions was designed and the doping energy was evaluated by the firstprinciples density functional theory. Based on this, Ce,Sc,Ca:GIG crystals with centimeter size and good quality were successfully grown by an improved edge-defined film-fed growth method. The transmission, magnetism, and magneto-optical effects were investigated in detailed. The Ce-doped concentration as high as 18 at% results in the (Ce0.54Gd2.41Ca0.05) (Sc0.45Fe4.55)O12 crystal having excellent magneto-optical properties. Its Faraday rotation angle increased to about -1534 deg. cm-1 at l = 1550 nm. Therefore, the excellent magneto-optical performances reveal that Ce,Sc,Ca:Gd3Fe5O12 crystal has great potential to be utilized for miniaturized and high performance optical isolators in 1550 nm.(c) 2022 The Author(s). 本发明公开了一种含铕、铽的氧基磷灰石稀土硅酸盐磁光晶体及其制备方法。本发明中的磁光晶体分子式为Eu2Tb8(SiO4)6O2,为同成分熔融化合物,可采用中频感应提拉法生长,还原方法方便快捷,生长周期较短、工艺简单,原料成本较低,能够实现批量生产。本发明Eu2Tb8(SiO4)6O2磁光晶体在1064 nm波长处的费尔德常数(Verdet constant)为76‑78 rad/T·m,约是此波段下商品化的TGG晶体的1.9倍。

Abstract :

本文采用周期性密度泛函理论研究三水铝石(001)面吸附水合铀酰离子过程中的能量和结构的变化以及质子化对吸附的影响.对三水铝石(001)表面的吸附位置进行不同程度的去质子化,得到x=0、x=1和x=2吸附面(x表示三水铝石(001)表面吸附位置上去质子化的个数).x=0吸附面上各吸附位的吸附能最大差值在40 KJ·mol-1左右,Edge-sharing吸附总体比Comer-sharing吸附的更稳定,并且以双齿配位吸附为主.在x=1吸附面的吸附位上,也显现出大部分的Edge-sharing吸附比Comer-sharing吸附得更稳定.该面以单齿配位吸附为主.在x=2吸附面上,各个吸附位均表现出良好的吸附能力.该面以双齿配位吸附为主,但形成铀氧化物吸附的可能性增大.三水铝石(001)表面与铀酰离子通过配位键的作用形成稳定吸附.发生吸附配位后吸附面的电荷分布发生变化.吸附底物Al(OH)6八面体上氧原子离子化程度增大即带更多的负电荷.吸附通过减弱三水铝石表面H—O和Al—O共价键强度,增强其表面氧与水合铀酰的配位键强度,来形成稳定吸附结构.随着去质子化程度的增加,各个吸附位均表现出良好的吸附能力,吸附能变大.

Growth, magnetic and magneto-optical properties of CaDyAlO4 crystals SCIE

Abstract :

CaDyAlO4 (CDA) crystals with dimensions of Phi 25 x 28 mm3 were grown by the Czochralski method. The presence of a small amount of oxygen in the growth atmosphere will cause the coloration of CDA crystal, and correspondingly reduce the transmittance in the range of 400-730 nm. Rietveld structural refinement of XRD patterns revealed a slight difference in the unit cell parameters of the brown and yellow-green CDA crystals. The angular and temperature dependencies of the magnetic susceptibility were measured, indicating that CDA crystal has remarkable magnetic anisotropy and abnormal magnetic behavior in the a and c direction below 150 K. Faraday rotation characteristics of CDA crystal were investigated at room temperature. Verdet constant of CDA at 500-700 nm band is about 1.1 times as large as that of TGG, but only 0.69 fold of that for isostructural CaTbAlO4 (CTA). Based on the Van Vleck-Hebb theory, the effective transition wavelength and probability of three crystals were calculated and compared. The absorption and magnetic circular dichroism spectra (MCD) of 4f-4f transitions in Dy3+ ions in CDA were studied.

Abstract :

A series of novel Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) phosphors with color-tunable were prepared through solid-state reaction. The crystal structures, photoluminescence properties, energy transfer process, decay, and chromaticity coordinates were also investigated. The emission color of Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) phosphors were tunable from pale yellow to the nearly white position by adjusting the concentrations of Dy3+ and Eu3+ ions or converting the excitation wavelength from 353 nm to 391 nm, and eta ( tau ) could reach 49.33% when y = 0.60. These results indicated that Li2Y4(MoO4)(7): Ln(3+) (Ln = Dy, Eu) may be served as color tunable phosphors.

Abstract :

A series of Li2Eu4(MoO4)(7) : Bi3+ red phosphors were prepared by a sol-gel method. The crystal structures, photoluminescence properties, energy transfer, decay lifetimes and thermal quenching properties were also explored. Li2Eu4(MoO4)(7) : Bi3+ phosphors could be excited under 395 nm near UV and 465 nm blue light and exhibit bright red emission located at 615 nm. The luminescence intensity may be improved because of energy transfer from Bi3+ to Eu3+ ions. Li2Bi0.24Eu3.76(MoO4)(7) phosphor exhibits good thermal stability, short lifetime and excellent CIE coordinates which could be a promising candidate for red phosphors for WLEDs.

Abstract :

In this account, Dy(9.33-x)Lax(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals were grown by the Czochralski technique, and their magneto-optical properties were examined. Rietveld structural refinement of XRD patterns illustrated Dy(9.33-x)Lax(SiO4)(6)O-2 possess hexagonal system P6(3)/m with oxyapatite structure. UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy revealed higher transparency in the 420-700 nm spectral region when compared to PSO and TGG crystals. The magneto-optical properties and temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility demonstrate that Dy8.36La0.97(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals show paramagnetic behavior within the temperature range of 2-300 K and yield a Faraday rotation angle which is approximately 1.16-fold larger than that of Tb3Ga5O12 crystals. Overall, Dy8.36La0.97(SiO4)(6)O-2 crystals look promising for applications in magneto-optical devices in the visible wavelength range.

Herein, SmFeO3 thin films are prepared by using magnetron sputtering technology on quartz-glass and SrTiO3(STO)(100) substrates. The influence of film thickness and choice of substrate on film quality and growth orientation is studied in detail. Moreover, the impact of phase purity and growth orientation on optical, magnetic and magneto-optical properties is discussed. The results reveal that the film thickness and choice of substrate significantly influence the induced stresses at film/substrate interface and growth orientation of the annealed film The as-fabricated SmFeO3 thin films have demonstrated highly crystalline structure, excellent transmittance and enhanced magneto-optical properties. Moreover, obvious anisotropy in magnetization and magneto-optical properties has been observed. The SmFeO3 films with excellent magneto-optical properties can be fabricated by selecting optimal film thickness and substrate. It is expected that SmFeO3 film is a promising material for integrated optical isolators and magneto-optical modulators.

Abstract :

通过改装二元气液平衡系统相图绘制实验的装置,同时测定了环己烷-乙醇气液系统建立平衡时的沸点和露点温度,绘制并对比未保温、保温和温度补偿条件下的环己烷-乙醇气液相图.研究发现,由于分馏效应的存在,未保温和简易保温情况下,测得的溶液的沸点与露点两者温度均存在较大的差异,利用沸点温度绘制的气相线存在严重失真;对系统进行了温度补偿后根据沸点和露点温度绘制的两条气相线能吻合较好,即气相分馏效应得到了解决.
