Abstract :
Green innovation has been attracting much attention from academia and practice, but the influence of religion as an important informal institutional factor has not been fully investigated in existing studies. Taking Chinese listed companies from 2008 to 2019 as a sample, this study attempts to examine the relationship between religious atmosphere and corporate green innovation performance. The empirical results indicate that a religious atmosphere (Buddhism and Taoism as a whole) can significantly improve corporate green innovation performance, particularly high-quality green innovation. The positive association between religion and green innovation performance is attenuated by pervasive formal institutions (i.e., environmental regulation), indicating that there is a substitutive effect between religion and formal institutions. We also find that Taoism mainly supports these results, while Buddhism has a limited impact, showing that there is a heterogeneous effect between different religions. We further find that the positive impact of religious atmosphere on green innovation performance is more pronounced in low-governance enterprises and low-polluting industries. This study contributes to research on the antecedents of corporate green innovation and the consequence of religion, which is of great significance to the value of religion in business practice.

Creativity is modern era productivity. Many efforts have been made to enhance employee creativity. This study adopted the social exchange model of creativity to understand in-depth the integrated effect of affective and cognitive trust in supervisor (ATS/CTS) on employee creativity. We recruited 528 subordinates who completed a three-wave survey at one-month intervals. Multilevel modeling results showed that ATS and CTS were positively related to employee creativity. Moreover, information sharing served as a mediator for the relationship between CTS and employee creativity, but not between ATS and employee creativity. In addition, the mediation effect of information sharing on ATS-employee creativity was significant for employees with high levels of CTS but not for those with low levels of CTS. Our results suggested an integrated effect of ATS and CTS in information sharing and its consequences on employee creativity. We have confirmed and extended the social exchange model by examining the integrated effect of ATS and CTS on employee creativity. CTS seems to be a threshold in the relationship between ATS and employee information sharing. Our findings clarify ways to develop human resource training to promote ATS and CTS to foster employee creativity.

遵循情境化研究思路,探讨了在科技驱动型和经验驱动型行业中探索性学习、利用性学习以及两者交互效应对企业颠覆性创新绩效的影响.基于208家企业样本数据的实证研究发现:探索性学习正向影响颠覆性创新绩效;利用性学习对颠覆性创新绩效无显著影响;在科技驱动型行业中,探索性与利用性学习的交互作用负向影响颠覆性创新绩效;而在经验驱动型行业中,两类学习的交互作用正向影响颠覆性创新绩效.

Drawing on signaling theory, peer effect, and the awareness-motivation-capability (AMC) framework, we examine the role of strategic emerging industries (SEI) firms in raising the awareness and motivation of non-SEI firms' R&D activities, including gaining government R&D subsidies and adopting internal R&D investment, while considering the moderate effect of non-SEI firms' capability factor. Based on the data of Chinese listed firms from SEI and non-SEI, the empirical results reveal that (a) the number of SEI firms funded by government R&D has an inverted U-shape relationship with the amount that non-SEI firms gain from government R&D subsidies, and has a positive relationship with the investment of non-SEI firms on internal R&D. (b) The financial performance of SEI firms funded by government R&D motivates non-SEI firms to gain government R&D subsidies and invest in internal R&D. (c) These relationships are strengthened by the relative scale of the non-SEI firms.

Abstract :
设计思维(Design Thinking)作为全球创新创业者的共同语言,是一种"以人为本"寻找正确的问题、探寻问题的根源、找到复杂问题创新解决方案的思维方式、流程、工具和方法论.起源于西方的设计思维与我国的双创教育虽然在本质上高度契合,但设计思维对我国大学生创新创业能力的培育是否有效?如果有效,是如何起作用的?这些研究问题尚不明确.本文基于全国948名大学生的问卷调查研究,采用结构方程模型进行实证分析,结果表明:对设计思维的培育能显著提升我国大学生创新创业能力;设计思维的同理心(移情)、知识整合两个维度,通过创造力自我效能感的部分中介作用,对大学生创新创业能力产生正向影响.实证研究结论为如何通过大学生的设计思维培训,提升其创造力自信、培育创新创业能力、推进我国高校创新创业教育、培养高素质的"三创型"人才,提供理论依据与实践指导.

Although teamwork shows stronger innovation ability than individuals and this advantage has been increasing over time, the negative effects of larger teams also appear as the number of inventor members increases. This study discusses the double-edged sword role of inventor teams in innovation quality at two extremes: the high quality and the low quality. We argue that, inventor team size influences innovation quality because diversity works in the evolutionary process of innovation, but different types of diversity play distinct moderating roles in these relationships. Using patent data from the US pharmaceutical industry, empirical results show that there is an inverted U-shape relationship between inventor team size and high-quality innovation, and a negative relationship between inventor team size and low-quality innovation. These relationships are moderated at different degree by technological and geographic diversity. Our findings contribute to existing literature of innovation and also provide meaningful implications for innovation management.

Abstract :
What are the driving factors of disruptive innovations in emerging economies from a network perspective? We argue that three forms of absorptive capacity (i.e. exploratory, exploitative and transformative learning) mediate the relationship between a firm's network relations and disruptive innovations. We tested the hypotheses with a survey of 251 firms in China and iterated the conceptual model to reflect the crucial insight that disrupters in emerging economies can leap from exploratory learning to disruptive innovation. We surmise exploratory learning help disrupters outsource transformative and exploitative learning via their supply chains. Suggestions for future research and limitations are also discussed.

颠覆性创新是我国后发企业实现跨越式追赶的重要路径,既有文献对于其驱动因素讨论的不充分限制了其对企业实践的指导作用.从颠覆性创新的驱动力视角出发,探究设计与颠覆性创新之间的关系及其内在作用机理.研究认为:基于"意义"维度,颠覆性创新可以划分为原有意义系统颠覆性创新和新意义系统颠覆性创新;不同类型的设计对颠覆性创新驱动机理不同,具体而言,产品功能设计通过功能—成本联动创新满足了低端和边缘市场消费者被过度服务和尚未被满足的需求,从而实现了原有意义系统颠覆性创新;而产品语义设计则通过技术—社会文化要素联动创新为消费者提供象征性和情感性价值,满足他们情感和社会文化需求,从而实现新意义系统颠覆性创新.

采用单案例纵向研究的方法,考察了MX公司24年破坏性技术创业过程及其不同成长阶段的合法性要求以及获取途径,并构建了破坏性技术创业合法化的理论模型.结果发现:中国情境下的破坏性技术创业注重技术与市场的匹配,并通过后续的渐进改善实现对主流市场的颠覆,其成长路径经历了"非主流市场→技术积累→主流市场"的过程.此外,破坏性技术创业在构思阶段、商业化阶段和成长阶段等3个不同时期中,合法性要求及其获取途径皆存在动态差异性.合法性要求从规范合法性演变为认知合法性,最后演变成规制合法性.相应地,破坏性技术创业企业可以依次通过采取选择环境、控制环境和依从环境的策略来获取相应的合法性,从而获得成长所需的资源.
